Crete’s undisputed party capital is up there with Magaluf and Sunny Beach in the neon-lit nightlife stakes. Its famous strip is tucked just behind the beach, and it’s packed with clubs, pubs and bars that encourage revellers to dance until dawn.

Holidays to Malia aren’t all about the nightlife, though. It’s loved for its beaches – golden sandy stretches which wind along the north-east coast.
