Maleme Mare Beachside Hotel

"We arrived late Monday night to a supper freshly prepared for us which was very needed. From the minute we got there until the day we left we were made to feel so welcome and looked after. It has a lovely family feel and many people we met had been before. There weren’t many English which was refreshing. There are two large pools to choose from with huge glass windows looking out to sea. It’s literally right on the beach if you prefer that. The food was so good and each day was very varied. The staff and manager stavros are all lovely and could not do enough to help. The rooms are well equipped with lots of storage and very well presented. The gardens are extremely well kept and overall the whole hotel is spotless and well maintained. There wasn’t entertainment every night which my daughter and I quite liked. There’s a whole shelf of games and books to borrow plus some kids toys. We found it easy to jump on the bus and go into Chania to the old town finding a great restaurant that served the best linguine I’ve had in years. It’s a beautiful country Crete and this hotel is a gem for sure. I’d go back"

"Wonderful location, 2 minutes to the beach. Excellent services and competent staffs. Food was delicious as well, and cats will stare at you when you eat. Highly recommend!"
