Cretan calm, close to Maleme beach
Ledra Maleme Hotel sits in leafy gardens in Maleme, a 10-minute walk from the beach and west of Chania. It’s a relaxed choice for couples and families exploring western Crete.
Two swimming pools take centre stage in the gardens, with loungers nearby for sunny afternoons. Little ones will enjoy the small outdoor play area, plus there's plenty of open space to enjoy.
The restaurant serves homemade Greek, Cretan and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks, snacks and meals are also available from the poolside bar, while seasonal evenings bring traditional food, music and entertainment.
A friendly, unfussy stay with the sea and western Crete within reach.

Find out more about Maleme
For a holiday set to the sounds of gently lapping waves, look no further than Maleme. A short drive outside of Chania, Maleme is a seaside hamlet along Crete’s western coast, surrounded by picturesque olive groves and pine trees. The undisputed star of the place – and where you’ll spend most of your time on Maleme holidays – is the 3-kilometre beach, which stretches as far as the eye can see.
