You’ll find Astra Village & Suites in the quaint Cretan village of Koutouloufari, with the Harakas Mountains as a suitably stunning backdrop. Life here is definitely on the laid-back side of things, making it an ideal spot for a few days of rest and relaxation.
There are two pools here, including one that’s just for adults if you prefer complete peace and quiet. Chilled drinks are served at the pool bar and there’s a café-bistro that does a fine line in desserts, plus an outdoor terrace where you can watch the world go by. Breakfast, meanwhile, is sorted thanks to a buffet spread that’s put on every morning.
Away from the hotel, you’ll find plenty of stuff to do. The village centre is just a five-minute stroll, where you’ll find a handful of restaurants and bars. But if you fancy something more upbeat, then Hersonissos – known for its lively nightlife – is a mere 10 minutes by taxi.
