Euphoria Resort

"I don't understand the recent negative reviews . We have stayed in several 5 star resorts in Greece over recent years such as Mitsis Laguna , Grecotel White Palace , Atlantica Dreams , and I would rate Euphoria Resort as good and in some aspects better than those resorts . All the staff we spoke to were very polite. I should imagine the people moaning about staff are the ones who don't use basic Manners such as please and thank you to the staff. LOCATION there isn't much around the resort , but with large resorts, there generally isn't . However Chania isn't for away via taxi or bus. ROOMS/POOLS Room was very modern , spacious and clean. The only negative for me which is only minor, it would have been nice to have soft drinks , beer/ wine in the fridge instead of just water . The hotels I mentioned above all had this in the fridges. Main pool was huge , the biggest ive seen by far, once area also sloped in like a beach , perfect for children. There are also a couple of other smaller pools dotted around the resort. Plenty of sunbeds so no stampede for them. Also drinks are delivered to your sun lounger. FOOD buffet , lots of choice. For people that are complaining that the food isn't hot , well buffets are never hot!! I thought it was warm enough. Food was of a good quality. Al a cartes all very nice with good service. Entertainment If people do their research before spending several thousand on a holiday then they should be well aware like I was, that you wont get any cheesey Tui Blue / Butlins style Entertainment here. Instead the resort puts on a singer/ band most nights and the odd fire show/acrobatic show. This was more than enough for us. I thought the singers were very good. We went to a tui blue last year with cheesy Entertainment every night , if that's what you're into then I suggest booking a tui blue resort such as Atlantica Dreams !! Overall i highly recommend this resort , for a nice chilled week in the sun , lovely pools , good food and service, no fighting for a sunbed , good music to chill out to in the evening. I think the people moaning are more suited to Butlins !!"

"We chose this hotel because it was advertised as the very best on Crete – a 5-star resort with All Inclusive, priced accordingly. We paid over 4,000 euros for just one week with our two very young children, aged 1 and 2, and naturally expected world-class service and hospitality. Within only a few hours of arrival (2025-10-3), it became clear that this hotel does not live up to its reputation. The three à la carte restaurants, heavily promoted as part of the experience, are practically impossible to access. When we tried to book a table, we were told the earliest availability was five days later – which is outrageous when you only stay for seven days. When we requested earlier dining times, the staff’s response was shocking. Instead of offering solutions, they gave us excuses, set arbitrary restrictions, and treated us with open arrogance. We were told we could only book one early dinner time, and that any additional reservations would have to be at 9:00 PM – completely unrealistic with toddlers. After a long and unpleasant argument, we eventually got the times we had originally asked for, which only proves those times were available all along. What stands out is the staff’s attitude: dismissive, inflexible, and downright rude. At one point we were told, “the others pay the same,” as if that justified the lack of service. When you spend 4,000 euros on a week, the absolute minimum expectation is respect and flexibility. Instead, we experienced the exact opposite. It’s a real shame, because the hotel itself and the rooms are undeniably beautiful and well-maintained. But service is everything at a so-called luxury resort – and here, it is a complete failure. This is not a 5-star hotel. At best, it deserves 1 star, solely for the facilities."

"the euphoria resort for us was the worse holiday we have ever had. i am writing this review as i do not want other peope to be dissapointed after spending a lot of money here . firstly the food is terrible,what there is is usually cold when plated . the chicken pork lamb and beef are all so dried out when served overcooked. which is something we have never experienced in greece before . it is also tasteless food. 2) the entertainment is non existant.one night there were greek dancers,one night a fire eater,and one night athletic men like acrobats. the music is singers who sing songs to make you sleepy. there is no dancing. no shows , all there is to do if you drink which we dont is to sit on the terrace. very boring. 3} no activities in daytime except for pilates in the pool one hour daily. no interaction with guests to play games ect. there was a pool volley ball net rolled up on the side of the pool ,but in the 14 days we were there it was never opened. 4)the hotel itself is very modern contemporary, not a bit of greek atmosphere at all anywhere. it was like staying in a london airport hotel for 14 days bland and boring. there was a room for luggage made available which is usual for a 5 star hotel but no seperate room to shower and change into on your day of departure. the showers are with the public toilets no private room to change clothes after showering.which is something even 4 star hotels make available.if you wanted to keep your own room on for a few hours the cost was extortionate 140 euros. 5)the toilet situation at this hotel is awful every toilet is underground with 20 steps to go up and down, if you have a child the poor child will never make it to the toilets . when i brought this up with the hotel i was told there are lifts also to the toilets . so they expect you to comeoutof the pool dripping wet and go into a lift, this is not how a 5 star hotel works . 6)beware the showers in your rooms,they are glass walls both sides if you slip there is nothing to hold onto. i did ask for a shower mat and all that came up was a huge black lump of plastic that goes on the edge of the bridges on the pool, i again asked for a proper shower mat and was offered a stool !!! so i said no and used their towels instead 7)it is in a poor location nowhere to walk to unless you want to be on the side of a busy road, 8)the beach,be warned the current in the sea is very strong ,i am a strong swimmer but it was too strong for me ,i would not advise any children going in even with a parent . the beach has a blue flag which i expect just means the water is clear and turtles lay eggs there . it is very difficult to get out of the water even with swim shoes on as it is very very stoney. the whole beach is large pebbles .the hotel does put a red flag up when it is dangerous to swim. please take notice of the flag as i said before the current is strong.even when it is calm. 9)i did speak to the hotel about the food situation and told them to look around at ll the full plates of food that was being returned that should tell them haw bad the food was their excuse was people pile to much on their plates always an excuse . 10)after 3 days we asked to be moved ,we had paid a lot of money for 5 star hotel this is certainly not that, our rep managed to get us another hotel, and then the euphoria asked us to give them one more day to prove we would like it by offering an upgrade to a sea view room,and mor alicarte meals and breakfast in the signiture restaurant . i said nothing they could do would make me want to stay but until we moved i would take up their offer of the breakfast restaurant and the alicarte extras. the room i declined as i didnt think we were stopping long. how wrong i was . the next day our rep told us the bad news although she had got us another hotel the euphoria was asking for a further 80percent of the holiday we had already paid just to leave . we just could not afford it it was 1,650 euros. so we had to stay and we just counted the days down till we came home . i was disgusted with them. 11)we are not people who just sit by a pool all day even if the pool is nice we were just so bored. i will make sure we never book a holiday with this resort company again .the one star was for the comfortable bed. apparently i am not allowed to say what other people thought of the resort, but we spoke to quite a few unfortunatly i cannot say what they said. to the hotel i say this greeting your customers with a towel,and a welcome drink does not constitute a 5 star hotel , you need more activities far better chefs to cook your food, and start putting on some daytime activities, not once did i feel as though i was in greece."
