Kiani Beach Resort

"First time here to this hotel after researching it more, arrived and hotel very nice clean and tidy, reception and check in was very quick, room should not off been ready til 3 pm but was allowed from 13:30. Limited information given at check in piece of paper with meal times and bar time. Was driven to room by staff and guy carrying our suitcases. Room quite big, separate toilet and shower, private pool, cleaned everyday, has own coffee machine and pods supplied by hotel. Distance not far from the pool bar but otherwise everything the other side of hotel, not lot of distance or walking. Pools ok there is two outdoor pools and two indoor pools, no issue getting sun beds whatever time of day it is. Pool bar has the main stuff, kids play area, entertainment, activities limited just bingo, table tenn is, darts. Beach pool is spaced out, but on the front where the beach is. Bars ok there two out door bars. Beach bar. Pool bar, also roof top but never got to see that one. Staff are very nice and friendly especially Betty, sarro, angelika, Ivana, they were on the pool bar most days, the beach bar we usual went in the evening and the two men usually on were really good, didn't get chance to get there names sorry. Drink basic AL unless U wanted to upgrade for £20 a night then U could have anything they had, bars shut dead on 11 pm. Downside there is no inside bar to sit in when weather is bad. Food ok there is 3 main restaurants all different each night, but basically same dishes pizza. Pasta. Pork or chicken, rice, veg usual desserts, did not try the Al la carte and menus would not suit all our tastes. Snack bar is hot dog or crepes with sandwiches, fruit and cake. So overall would I come back here no, limited things to do esp when weather bad, outside of the complex there is pretty much nothing around to do or go to to eat, unless want to pay 30 euros to go in to chania. Supermarket on site has some stuff but expensive and not much to offer, at top of hill there is more stuff and gifts on offer, about 15 mins walk along beach a big supermarket which has pretty much everything u need. Indoor bar areas would be good, Map which shows where things are instead of piece paper that just a map. We spent a bit of time in room,as we all became ill, not hotel related. Overall glad to be home"
