Star Beach Village and WaterPark

"We stayed at this hotel as a family of 4, children aged 4 and 16 months. My cousin also stayed with her partner and children, similar ages. Check in - we didn’t arrive until midnight because of a delay, however check in was quick, staff were friendly, and our cases were taken to our room. Lovely service. Rooms - we were located in the Zeus block, we were ground floor and my cousin was above. Outside of this block is a small pool, which was perfect as it almost felt like our own private pool! The kids loved spending the last hour of the day in here before we went back to get ready. The rooms were lovely and modern, very clean throughout the stay with towels replenished daily! Tea and coffees in rooms and 2 bottles of water left daily. Beds were comfy, and they even left a bed guard for us which was great! Showers were fab, although tiles were very slippy, especially with my 16 month old! We ended up bathing her in the sink 😆 no complaints about the rooms they were great! Very close to the main pool, park and entertainment but far enough away to not hear anything. Pools - there are so many great pools within the hotel grounds and within the waterpark. We used them all, and our kids absolutely loved everything from the hustle and bustle of the slides, to the main pool and then the quieter pool outside our room. I cannot comment enough on the amount of activities for children from the slides, to entertainment, mini golf and the parks! Fabulous. Food - we go abroad a few times a year and this is the best food we have ever tasted in an all inclusive hotel. My partner is extremely fussy and he was going up for seconds! The Asian restaurant was also beautiful! Snack bars open daily, and the noodle bar is AMAZING! My partner asked him to make salt and pepper chips, which he did, and they were lush. Entertainment - our kids didn’t partake in the kids club as they were too busy at the water park or beach, but the team were very active in the day and night. Nightly shows included your usual singers, acrobats, magician etc. Location - opposite the hotel is a fab mini golf which we used and loved! You’re just a short 10/15 min walk into Hersonissos. You can either walk along the beach front or go through the main town. Both fabulous. We ate out twice at El Peurto as the food there was excellent! Would defo recommend. This was our first time in Crete and I would 100% recommend. The weather, staff and food were all excellent. Rooms lovely and clean and loads to do for kids. We will most certainly be back."

"Lovely hotel with a wide range of amenities, it is a very large site so depending on your room location it can be a bit of a walk with the main area but there are tonnes of pools/bars so nothing is too far out of reach. Food was excellent and loads of freshly cooked items to try. Only thing that let it down was the quality of the cocktails with them but bar team were always happy to accomodate! Entertainment team were great at making us feel welcome and having a range of activities without being pushy or overbearing - shout out to Sarah who was absolutely lovely We had a room in the annexe which was across a busy road that didn’t have a dedicated crossing making it awkward to get across and dangerous at times"
