"We booked a stay at Mare Blue & Suites Crete, flying out on 30 May and due to return on 6 June. However, due to our experience, we chose to return early on 2 June. Unfortunately, the hotel was not what we expected, and the level of service was extremely disappointing. There were numerous hidden charges that were not made clear before arrival. For example, some guests were charged €3.50 for sunbeds while others were charged €10. Guests were also required to pay for towels. Despite being advertised as all-inclusive, many items such as coffees and bottled water incurred additional charges. Upon arrival, no one showed us to our room and we had to find it ourselves. We were also not given any information regarding Wi-Fi access or other hotel facilities. The check-in process was unnecessarily lengthy and frustrating. Although the hotel already had our booking details, apart from our passports, the receptionist insisted on seeing and photographing my original booking confirmation email to verify our names. I have never experienced this at any other hotel, and it added around 20 minutes to the check-in process. The overall condition of the hotel was also concerning. There was paint and mess left on the floor in reception, giving a poor first impression. Throughout our stay, we felt uncomfortable and unsafe. In our opinion, this hotel does not meet the standards of a 4-star property and is more comparable to a 2- or 3-star hotel. Another issue was the layout of the pool and dining areas. The pool is located next to the eating area, yet guests are not allowed to wear swimming costumes in that area. As a result, very few people appeared to use the pool facilities. Overall, this holiday fell far below our expectations, and we are extremely disappointed with the hotel experience."

"Stayed with my boyfriend for a week. Hotel was great. Friendly staff, peter was so friendly especially in reception he could not do enough for all holiday makers. all stall though always made us feel welcome. Clean Rooms, perfect location (10 euro for sunbeds on beach which was fine) . perfect places to visit with a local road train. we had perfect weather which helped. Was not noisy in the area good food in all inclusive always lots of choices i would highly recommend this hotel to others."
