"A hotel with heart – lived Greek filoxenia! 🇬🇷❤️ Our stay at the Delfina Boutique Hotel was something very special for us. We were completely happy and satisfied and felt not just like guests from the very first moment, but almost like at home. What makes this hotel so special for us are, above all, the wonderful people who work here. You can feel genuine warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality every day. Wishes are not just noted – they are taken seriously and, if at all possible, fulfilled. That is exactly what genuine Greek filoxenia is to us. We would like to express a very special thank you to Corina at the reception. ❤️ For us, she embodies the word filoxenia in its most beautiful meaning. An incredibly warm, attentive, and at the same time highly professional employee. She meets guests with warmth, respect, and a smile and gives you the feeling of being truly welcome. Corina is not only at a very high professional level, but above all a wonderful person. We are very happy and grateful to have met them. We also definitely want to mention the young lady at the reception who mostly worked the morning shift (with dark hair and a beautiful smile). Unfortunately, we did not remember her name, but she, too, was extremely friendly, helpful, attentive, and warm at all times. Many thanks to her as well! A big compliment also goes to Michalis (hopefully his name is correct), the maître d'/head waiter. Always present, attentive, and approachable, while being incredibly friendly, helpful, and warm. One immediately notices with how much professionalism and dedication he does his work. The dear gentleman who was frequently present at the salad buffet and the desserts also left a particularly positive impression on us. An extremely dear, warm, and helpful person who made every day a little bit better with his friendly manner. And really, one should mention every single employee of this hotel. ❤️ To the entire team, we would therefore like to say from the bottom of our hearts: You are the heart and soul of this hotel! A hotel can be beautiful, have good food and nice rooms – but it is the people who ensure that one remembers a vacation with a smile for a long time. And that is exactly what you achieved. We very much hope that the management knows what a great team they have and knows how to appreciate these employees accordingly. Otherwise, we can only say positive things: Cleanliness, food, service, atmosphere, and the entire facility – everything was top-notch. We felt comfortable, welcome, and in the best of hands at all times. No wish remained unfulfilled. We are therefore leaving the Delfina Boutique Hotel not only with wonderful vacation memories but also with the feeling of having met special people. "We were here with our junior (13) - just like last year. Don't be alarmed, the hotel is located on a main road, like many others - but that is neither a problem at night nor during the day - you can easily get to the beach (200m), and then you don't hear anything of it anyway. Advantage: the bus stop is right in front of the hotel (except this year there was construction, so a few meters further away). The rooms are very okay, very functional, very clean, and above all very spacious (see photos). Of course, not a new, modern city hotel - but for that reason also significantly cheaper than the 3 luxury bunkers on the other side of the street. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the manager, the people at the reception, the head waiter as well as all waiters/waitresses and cleaning staff. The food is always a buffet, but within a week it is very varied, very diverse, and simply really good. This applies to breakfast and dinner. There are seats for eating inside the buffet area, but also outside on the beautiful, airy terrace - we were always outside. The beach is fantastic. Cross the street once, then a narrow path for maybe 200m and you are at the nearly 8-kilometer-long sandy beach near Kavros/Georgioupolis, which is considered the longest continuous sandy beach on Crete!! Directly to the left on the path is the hotel's own sunbed area (3 sunbeds + 2 reed umbrellas cost 22 €). You can take wonderfully long beach walks, or swim or snorkel in the shallow, sloping water. We were here this time during the Whitsun holidays - the beach was so sparsely visited, so much for being packed like sardines ;) Overall, the location/beach/food lured us here again - and the price-performance ratio is really good here! PS: Tip for during the day: take the public bus to Chania for a few euros, it runs every hour. Chania is an ancient city, harbor/bay/fortress/lighthouse etc. with great restaurants, shops, nice for strolling. And a starting point for various boat trips for snorkeling and heading to secluded beaches. And another tip for the evening: there is a tavern right across from the hotel entrance. Authentic, good food, inexpensive and good drinks, great funny staff and Greek live music 2x a week. We were there very often ;)"

"Very pleasant hotel. The rooms are very well sized. Especially friendly atmosphere. The location of the hotel is ideal for excursions all over the island. The beds are very large, and the mattresses leave nothing to be desired. There are enough pillows available. A bathrobe is, of course, in the closet. There were Greek specialties at every meal. The head chef himself presented the offered dishes and, of course, provided samples to interested guests. We visited many villages and hidden gems. We also caught sight of bearded vultures and presumably eagles. The water is clean, and one can walk very far into the sea without encountering stones. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are sufficiently available. There is also the possibility to stay at the beach section of the sister hotel. The cushions of the lounge chairs are about 3 inches thick. We have been exploring the island on our own for years and visiting the sights and cultural events as circumstances allow. This year, we decided to go to the archery course "Parko Toxovlias Artemis Archery" near PALEOCHORA to receive a special introduction to archery. It was a unique and special experience. There are bus stops in the immediate vicinity for the trip to Chania or Rethymno. Departure times can be inquired at the hotel."
