Elounda Colour Apartments

"Just got back from 2 weeks in Colour Apartments. Got to be some of the best appointed apartments we've stayed in - rooms cleaned daily (apart from Sunday) - beds made (even when we'd already done it) . Description is open to interpretation! The apartments are on the main road into Elounda and the road is busy - that said once the double glazing is closed there's barely a sound. They're advertised as less than 5 minutes from the beach and if you cross the road and go down the stairs you are on the seafront - that said, the beach proper is about 15 minute walk, past the bakeries and shops - so no hardship. The balconies are narrow and overlook the road - so as long as you're 1st or 2nd floor then you're above the traffic. The sea view from our apartment was from the end of the balcony by bending down and looking through a gap in the building opposite! Despite all that - a great stay and the lady who comes in daily to deal with any problems was wonderful. Would definitely recommend."

"we were in this hotel for the second time. A super cute and involved owner Maria. Good beds. and nice pillows, two per bed, one a bit softer and one a bit firmer. According to the information, the sheets should be changed every second day, but that was not the case, we had a room change. But in a week the sheets were not changed. The apartment is kept very clean. Paint everything you need is in the kitchen, even a (new) sponge, tea towel and dishcloth and dish soap. The hotel is on a busy road but that means you are in the center in a few steps, or you cross and go down the stairs and are on the boulevard with many restaurants. We will definitely be back! We were on the first floor last time, the room looked very luxurious. Now we had a room on the ground floor, This was not ideal for our experience due to the noise from everyone coming in and taking the elevator and the reception. This room is wheelchair friendly. We chose to change rooms and got a room on the second floor. Cyan is the room and has a sea view with a small balcony, two bedrooms with air conditioning in each room. The room looks very luxurious. Nice sofa. In the bedroom and in the living room there is a TV (which we did not use) As a welcome, a bottle of rosé and a bottle of water. We didn't use this this year because we don't eat in the morning, but Maria also makes very delicious, very extensive breakfast. This hotel is recommended!"
