Veronica Hotel

"Uff, so dam noisy if there is any game on TV. You will think that you are in a sports bar,not family hotel. The rooms are basic and a hotel cries for make over. Fix the bathrooms please. Paint the walls, replace the chairs.."

"KEEP CLEAR! We came here as a family of four arriving late, and the lady at the reception was wonderful, and that’s about where any of the good stuff ended. The beds here are the worst beds I’ve slept on in my life, rock hard and wafer thin mattress’s. The walls are paper thin and we could every sound from everything going on around us, being put rite next to the reception even if we did get any sleep it would have been ended by the morning staff getting ready and the traffic going by on the road just out the front and side of the hotel. The rooms are tired with holes under the cupboards where ants were crawling in and out of and there was no air con in the bedroom (there is in the front room) When told in the morning about the issues the gentleman at the desk didn’t seem too bothered at all and said we’d have to wait until the next day to see the manager. We left that day to find another hotel and only then did the man at the desk seem remotely bothered about why we were leaving and when again told about the problems he just replied with “I know” like it’s not the first time he’s heard these same complaints and yet nothing has been done to rectify them. we’ve heard nothing since from the hotel."

"The best thing about this hotel is the location. Close to various beaches, close to bus stops, close to groceries shopping, and close to various restaurants. Also, across the street there a great travel agency - TOP TRAVEL GREECE with an excellent service. Hotel is VERY basic. We had an apartment with a bedroom and a living room/kitchenette. The only new thing in the room is the AC unit with a remote control. And it was a treasure. You can put any temperature, any regime, etc. All other things in the hotel room are old. But functional. Beds are not too comfortable, but we got an extra mattress and it saved our stay. Wardrobe space is good, needed some extra hangers and got them right away. You can rent a key for a safe in your room - extra charge.... Plus there is an extra charge for a city tax or tourist tax...something like that. TV is very little, most of channels are in Greek, but some channels show old American movies and are not dubbed. There are some radio stations that play decent music. Kitchenette - is very basic. 4 spoons, 4 knives. etc....only for 4 people. Stove is little and old and takes forever to boil eggs....but it worked. There is a tea kettle. No coffee maker, no toaster. There is a small fridge with a freezer...so you can keep some things in there...There is no cleaning sponge or dish soap or kitchen towels so you need to invest in it. Small balcony....ours was facing the street so not too much privacy there... Cleaning was good. Breakfast is VERY basic. Fried eggs, some veggies. Cheese and ham. Basic bread. Fruits - NOT CUT. No watermelons or other fancy fruits....Just apples, oranges, very hard kiwis. We stayed 10 days and there were some slight variations, which added some excitement :) There is a hotel bar with two large TVs that mostly were showing some sports matches.. There is a swimming pool and a little gym but we did not use those facilities.. Service was very nice, if we had any problems, people were very helpful and eager to make your stay more pleasant. So, my conclusion is the following: If you don't require any extra service or more luxury, this hotel is suitable for you....Other wise, find a different place. All depends how much you are willing to spend..."
