"We arrived at this hotel at 1am with several other couples to be told that we all would be taken to various other hotels for 1 or 2 nights due to overbooking!!!. We were taken to a nearby hotel for 1 night, we woke exhausted after little sleep, our room was ok but when opening the curtains it was not the sea view we had booked and paid extra for just concrete, side of other balconies, backs of buildings. Much of day was taken up with calls to Jet2 helpline, waiting for callbacks and speaking to the Jet2 representative, then being transferred to our booked hotel at approximately 1.30pm, we eventually got to our beachfront room with lovely sea view at around 3.30pm. We had been unable to unpack and enjoy the first day of our 7 day holiday, which had been booked as a late 70th birthday treat, so disappointing. During our stay we met and heard of many others who had similar experiences of overbooking. No apology was given throughout our stay. Restaurant, all staff were great, warm, welcoming and couldn't do enough. Food good and varied choices. Bars - both bars good and great service, especially Michaelis, Efcharisto! Reception - we felt with a few exceptions not very welcoming or friendly . Although it did not affect us, we felt that the hotel did not have good accessibility, many steps between the 2 hotels in the underpass and steps directly as you left the lift to the luggage area and to access the only public hotel toilet. Since returning from our holiday we have read numerous other reviews of overbookings both recent and historic. This practice needs to improve massively as people choose, save and look forward to their holiday and DO NOT wish to be moved around to different hotels, a practice which appears to have become the norm for this hotel. Overbooking significantly impacted our stay and many others. We are shocked that tour operators continue to market this hotel as although lovely, booking should not become a lottery. Please check if booking that they have a room for you."

"Where to start. We travelled with 2 of our friends for 11 nights , arriving at the hotel at 1 am to be told NO ROOMS for us . The man on reception told us ( along with another 2 couples) that we could not stay there as there were no rooms for us. We were told they were sending a taxi to take us back down the coast to another hotel for 2 nights .( We had already passed this hotel on the way to where we should have been staying ) . By the time we got to this hotel it and sorted out it was 3 .30 am . The next day we got a phone call from our original hotel to say we would have to stay there 3 nights not 2 , upon asking at reception we were told no we could not stay there as they were also full . After numerous phone calls to the jet 2 helpline we were then told we could either be split up into 2 different hotels or the 4 of us could share a small family masionette for the third night . We decided to share for the 1 night but it was totally inadequate for 4 adults . On our third day we eventually got our proper rooms . We lost 3 days of our holiday constanly on the phone to jet 2 , not been able to unpack and feeling totally let down and abandoned by this hotel and jet 2 . No apology for this happening from the hotel . The other 2 couples that arrived with us had only gone for 1 week so in effect lost nearly half their holiday . On a better note when we eventually got sorted out the hotel and most of the staff were fab . Right on the beach ( which is 1 of the reasons we booked THIS hotel ) .Pool areas were good , restaurants and food were really good and the staff in the restaurants were very good and attentitive they could not do enough for you . Its a pity about the rubbish we had to put up with on the first 3 days as we would have definatley given it a 5 star reveiw. Think its about time the hotel got sorted out and stopped over booking and spoiling peoples holidays that they have saved up all year to go."
