La Stella Suites

"Just spent a week here on holiday. Location ideal for supermarkets lots of lovely restsurants and cake shops and cafes a few minutes walk away. Lidl right next door to hotel. Reception and pool area immaculate and breakfast area clean. Our room was not clean so disappointing compared to the public areas. Staff lovely friendly and very helpful. Ambient music played around the pool so lovely and relaxing. 2 hour transfer from Chania airport was a bit tedious and uk flights from our region are always late evening so couldnt really take in the scenery on the 2 hour transfer. Would we return......maybe in a different month"

"We were there for 10 days in September. When we arrived late in the evening, unfortunately our suite was not yet available, so they gave us a different room for the first night, which we naturally did not think was that great. However, we spoke with Mary the next day and she immediately offered us good options as compensation for the inconvenience, thanks for that! :) The suite is super spacious with 2 sofas, a safe, 2 balconies, and a small kitchen (though without a stovetop). They could put a sponge and a kitchen towel there so that if you use cutlery or anything else, you can wash it off. The beds are very comfortable, and I am otherwise a bit picky because hotel beds are quickly too hard for me. The rooms were cleaned every day (except Sunday = day off) and towels as well as bed linen were changed regularly. The air conditioning works great, only in the bathroom you almost have a flood on the floor after showering, because there is only a glass partition that only covers half of the wall and then half of the water ends up by the toilet. A rubber squeegee wouldn't be bad to fix the problem quickly :). The hotel is located on a main road, so a lot of traffic is audible, but that didn't bother us much. In the first room, which was located almost directly by the pool/dining area, we were woken up by the other guests who were pushing chairs back and forth. The breakfast is small but nice as a buffet, with a small variety of different things each day, which I think could be expanded a little bit :) Savas the bartender makes really good drinks that were even better than those down in the town, and we had good conversations with him, and Mary is also a huge sweetheart! The whole team is great! You can also ask at the reception for a towel for the loungers or for the beach, which I thought was great, then you have a fresh towel every day! 😍 Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay there and found it a shame when we had to leave."

"The whole experience was perfect, breakfast, room, location cleanliness and staff. Mary the main receptionist was very kind and helpful; as were the other workers. The bar man (Savas) became a friend, very funny guy would recommend the hotel for him alone."
