Tellis Holiday Rooms

"I am giving 4 out of 5 for one reason. On balance, the grounds are beautiful, the pool is clean and a good size, sunbeds are plentiful. There is a snack and drinks bar at one end, very reasonable, and run by the managers daughter, lovely girl. The rooms are basic, clean and adequate. Distance from the beach is about two minutes, with some lovely restaurants. A great supermarket up the hill, about a 5 minutes walk. The free breakfast is very good. Boiled eggs, cereals, meats, cheese, cakes, fresh bread, yoghurt and honey, tea, coffee and juice. All these reasons give the 4 stars. The only reason its not 5, is because unfortunately, my night i was put in room 4, it smelt damp, the fridge made an horrendous noise and I called Easyjet on their in resort service. I spoke to the manager in the morning, and she moved me to room 7. All good, and gratefully received. Except the air conditioning unit leaked badly into room 7,on to the tiled floor, I had to place towels and mats on the floor to soak it up. I did tell the manager twice, no engineer visited during my stay, and the leak continued for the duration. She said i had to turn the temperature upto 25, because it was hot?. I did, it made no difference, it still leaked. My friends were in room 1, theirs worked perfectly at 16 degrees with no leakage. A newer unit i suspect. Easyjet are investigating as I type, its dangerous for health and safety, and a liability, as to fall on hard tiled floors because the floor is soaked can have endless repercussions for both the owners and Easyjet. Unless it is attended to sharpish then the next guests will no doubt also complain. Its a shame, as the rest of everything was lovely."

"We have just come back from a lovely holiday in Crete. Lovely people and location. Our recent trip was back to a hotel, which was our fifth time. We booked late, as we tend to do so we can fit round work and commitments. The description of the room we booked, was a bit far from the room we were given. We spoke to the hotel, who provided us with a smaller room, but it was better, still not what we thought we had booked. I have now got to wonder, if the tour operator verify that the room you booked, is the room you are given. We booked with Jet2 holidays, who we think are very good, but on reflection the last few holidays, the rooms were not what we expected, but let it pass. I would be interested to hear if there is any verification of room classification, booked, to what is allocated at the Hotel."

"Fabulous, we just love this place, clean comfortable room's, great location and a really lovely host dina who with a little help runs the place, always plenty of sunloungers around, so no need to book your spot. Lovely breakfast to start the day with cold meats,yoghurt, breads and fresh juice. There may well be a poolside bar opening soon but bottled beers, ciders, soft drinks & water is available. Such a quiet location & that's one of the main reasons we continue to book here. Really close to supermarket & beach restaurants. Everything we love about beach holidays we find it right here."
