Paradise Hotel Corfu

"This is our second visit to The Paradise Hotel, my brother and his friends third. Just love it here. Yes, some updating is required and is on the cards. The rooms are nicely appointed with all mod cons - enquires are smart and functional. Beds really comfortable, balcony with drying rack, TV, WiFi etc. It's the staff that made our stays here so special. They are really friendly and helpful. The cleaning ladies do a fabulous job. Breakfast is a very varied buffet to suit most tastes and is excellent. The views from the pool area are lovely. Comfy sunbeds and a pool bar. The gardens are beautiful. Yes, there is a bit of a hill to get down / up at the end of the road. I have a walking stick and can easily manage it. A car is a great idea if you want the freedom to explore Corfu. There is an excellent bus service at the bottom of the hill too. There are a great selection of restaurants in Gouvia itself. This hotel suits us so well. It is pretty quiet and has a cosy ambience. Teamed with wonderful staff, it's a little slice of Paradise."

"We stayed at Paradise hotel Corfu for 10 days. A nice small hotel with the facilities you need. A Mediterranean breakfast, cozy pool with sunbeds, nice terrace with the option to have lunch and enjoy nice drinks. The pool is regularly cleaned and the beds are neatly arranged every morning. The garden by the pool is very green, many trees, enough sun and shade, for everyone's liking. There are several rooms, some without a renovated bathroom and some with a renovated bathroom. In terms of layout, space, and furniture, everything is the same. The only difference is the bathroom, the old bathroom has a bathtub and shower curtain, the new bathroom has a modern walk-in shower. The room has a good and large bed with air conditioning. Refrigerator, TV are present. Rooms are cleaned and beds made every day. The location doesn't matter so much which side the balcony is on. It is very quiet and the view doesn't always matter because it is too hot to sit outside in the summer. However, the view of a garden, swimming pool, or sea is the same. The hotel is on a small hill, so a small climb is necessary. The location is not suitable for people with mobility issues or older people. The center of Gouvia is located a few hundred meters away. A nice little place with several restaurants, shops, and a small beach. There is also a bus from the main road there. The blue bus for short distances, the green bus for further places. Since there are only hotels and apartments in the neighborhood, it is very quiet in the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The ladies at the reception will help you with all questions and are happy to look up everything for you, including excursions. If you have a problem, they will make sure it is solved. The ladies at the breakfast buffet, who also provide lunch, are very kind and hospitable. They are happy to do extra things for you. The hotel has 3 stars, so don't expect a gym, spa, or anything like that. What you need for the first need is there. The price is also included in that. But since there is plenty to do in Corfu, you don't need that either. Overall, we were very enthusiastic about the hotel, not luxurious, but really felt like you were in Greece."

"We had a lovely stay in this hotel, staying in a superior garden view room. The room was modern and spotlessly clean with a decent bathroom. It was nice to have toiletries supplied and a hairdryer. The shower cubicle was a little small but manageable. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and towels and bedding changed regularly. As somebody has pointed out the hotel does look a bit tired in places but I understand that a renovation is underway. The pool area is lovely - if you are lucky enough to get a sunbed which we didn't. People would put their towels on sunbeds at breakfast and then go out for the day, coming back to the pool later which was a bit annoying. Still small world problems and we managed to do other things instead as we hired a car and could explore the island. Breakfast was very nice with a lot of choice and the pool bar had really nice snacks during the day. Wasps were a bit of a problem outside and my husband was stung on our balcony but it was that time of year. The staff were really friendly. The walk up to the hotel up the hill would be a bit of struggle if you are unfit or have limited mobility but it's not as bad as others have made out. All in all we had a really good stay and I would stay again if I came back to Gouvia."
