Helion Apartments

"The apartments are very comfortable and have everything you need although the pillows are terrible ( Too soft ). The apartments are accessed through the Govino Bay resort about a 5min walk out of the top end of Gouvia Village not the entrance in the middle of the village, " Why" I don't know as I think the village entance would be more safe than having to walk along side a very busy main highway and smelly rubbish bins especially if you have young children. The village of Gouvia is quite a grubby little place with not much going for it compared to the resort complex, it's full of bars, restuarants, cafes and the usual tourist tat shops with very bad road and pavement surfaces. There is easy access by local buses to Corfu Town and other places on the island just outside the main gate. The reception staff are what makes this resort, they cannot do enough for you and the cleaning staff work very hard to keep the apartments in such a good and clean state and they are always very cheerful and polite all credit to them."

"Only the apartment was in order, completely renovated, beautiful kitchen, good mattresses, cleaned every day and fresh towels, top, a feather for this team, The area is being neglected, it looks nice in the photo, but when you walk around you see that there is not much maintenance, the lounge chairs are either sunken or broken, dirty, the best ones are by the pool, the tiling by the pool is sunken in some places. The breakfast, especially don't have breakfast here, it is not provided here, what we got, well, 2 slices of bread, 1 yogurt, 1 small piece of butter, 1 small jar of jam, 1 honey, like those small cups, and yes, a fried egg or an omelet, and a can of cheap coffee, it doesn't radiate any atmosphere, once outside the premises you can walk to the center, about a 10-minute walk, not far so, on that walk you walk along a dirty street, there are open containers along that road, the dirt is just next to it, and it stinks, really dirty, every car or moped stinks of exhaust fumes, in the center it is also not proper, not safe, traffic drives past the tourists, good restaurants to eat at, top, We were here in Corfu in 2016, the Corfu of 2026 looks very different, dirtier, busier, vacant, you won't see us here anymore, We paid a lot and got little"

"The hotel is in a strategic location for visiting the island, about 15/20 minutes from Corfu Town and a short distance from the most beautiful beaches in the north. The property is very beautiful, surrounded by greenery with a beautiful swimming pool with a view of the sea. Our very beautiful room had everything necessary: an equipped kitchen with a nice refrigerator, two air conditioners—one in the bedroom and one where the sofa bed was—with a television and an outdoor veranda including a table and chairs that looked out onto the garden, very useful for having breakfast. The room is cleaned daily. The girls at the reception are very helpful and kind; it is only open until 3:00 PM, however, in case of need, there is always a caretaker who opens the gate to enter and exit the resort with the car. The Wi-Fi works well. Things to improve: The double bed was made up of two single mattresses that kept moving, which was a bit annoying having a small child sleeping in the middle, and the pillows were too low for my taste. The bathroom is too small and when taking a shower the floor would get wet because the shower was not completely enclosed. The pool lounge chairs are a bit dated and should be renewed. Breakfast at the pool bar is a bit too expensive at 12 euros per person."
