Wyndham Corfu Acharavi Hotel

"The staff was very welcoming, the savory meals were very good, though there is a lack of variety in the dishes, very repetitive, and the breakfast is not great. Regarding the rooms, I would advise against taking the hotel rooms directly that are close to the reception hall where there is a huge amount of noise in the evening; it is very poorly soundproofed. So in the morning, we heard the cleaning staff talking in the hallways starting at 7 a.m. Try to get a room in the small bungalows outside of the main building instead. Another point to correct: the photos are not representative of the current hotel; the hotel is slightly dilapidated, the pool is cold, the beach leaves something to be desired, and another important point, you have to cross a street to get to the beach, and the sun loungers are dilapidated."

"To start, and this did not give us a good first impression, we were given a room with questionable hygiene (dirty toilet and sink, broken trash can, extra dirty sofa). We reported it and the next day, another room was assigned to us. Objectively, the hotel is very well located with great potential. That said, for the rest our opinion is very mixed. The people at the SPA are kind and polite. The massage was very pleasant. The cleaning staff also always say hello, which is far from the case for the rest of the staff, whether it be the servers, the bar, the front desk, and not all of the hotel managers either. The food is not at all varied. The same appetizers for a week, the dishes are not bad but include many dishes in sauce. There is a plancha, but it is not used during this period (no grilled meat or fish options). The welcome is not necessarily friendly, the dining room staff seems to watch you constantly when you serve yourself, they walk in front of you without apologizing. It is not very pleasant and it does not meet my criteria for politeness. Perhaps this is a standard in this country, I do not know, I am comparing it with, among others, Morocco, the Balearic Islands, and even Crete. Cleanliness is not the watchword in this establishment. The dining room has a questionable floor in places and behind the windows we see the pipes of the drink machines with piles of other debris never cleaned during our stay. The mattresses on the lounge chairs are almost all stained. You do not have a stemmed glass to drink your glass of wine and for the most part you have lunch in cardboard cups, at the bar they offer us plastic cups. The all-inclusive is far from being top-notch, if I compare it to other establishments in other countries. Even the Piña Colada costs extra and the juices are of poor quality (sugary and chemical). The ice cubes for the bar are brought in using coolers that stay in the central bar area, and the employees' sweaters are left lying on the counter. This is far from meeting a certain standard. In short, overall, the packaging is pretty, but when you look closer, it is far from being at a 4-star level in terms of service, cleanliness, all-inclusive offerings, and friendliness, at least when compared to other countries. I read the responses made by management to customer reviews on TripAdvisor: you say you take note and pass it on to the relevant department. I am not sure that is the case, or it would have been rectified by now. If we see all these things, you should see them too if you walk around the hotel, but nothing is done. Even some members of management do not say hello, and smiles are rare in this establishment. The surroundings are pleasant and conducive to nice walks. We rented a car in the area. It went very well. We were not familiar with the Wyndham chain, but we will not use this chain again and we will not recommend it."
