Plaka Hotel

"We recently stayed at Hotel plaka for 7 days in room 202 .on second floor . We were really happy with our room . It was bright , modern and clean . We had a small balcony overlooking the side street opposite the 5 star Dolli hotel . The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and all the staff we encountered were lovely and polite . The room had a kettle and coffee &tea provided There was a free safe and toiletries provided . Towels replenished daily The shower was good . The breakfast was plentiful consisting of the normal continental pastries , cakes , yougurts , cereal and hot food such as scrambled egg and bacon . The highlight of this hotel was the location located in the tourist district of Plaka with lots of shops and restaurants . Monistraki square was literally around the corner and this is where our transfer picked us up and dropped us off . The view from the rooftop bar was amazing at night the acropolis all lit up was my highlight . Considering the 5 star Dolli has the same view I thought the hotel Plaka was great value for money . If I were to pick a fault I found styling my hair difficult because there was no electrical socket in the bathroom for my hairdryer and curling iron and no other mirror in the room . Also no full mirror but I managed . I would love to return to Athens again as thee is so much to see and do . Getting around the city is cheap and we caught the metro from syntagma square to Glyfada and Edem beaches . Also download the Bolt app for cheap reliable taxis . We visited all the main attractions and loved Athens . When I return I would definately return to hotel Plaka and recommend to friends because I feel we had 5 star service for the 3 star price . Well done to all the staff ."
