A glossy, style-led hotel in central Athens

Staying at NYX Esperia Palace on Stadiou Avenue brings a splash of colour to an Athens city break. Opened in 2023, it’s an artsy, playful, and vibrant place, with an incredible view of the Acropolis from the seasonal rooftop pool. 
 
Three restaurants and a lounge bar give you different options for dining. Find a seat on the terrace of the 9th-floor restaurant Kalua Athens for a buffet breakfast with city views. Panther Bistrot awakens throughout the day, serving relaxed all-day dining from mid-morning, then building to an atmospheric cocktail bar by night. The Kalua Lounge Club & Pool Restaurant provides an energised party vibe for late-night drinks served until the small hours.  
 
In a change of pace, the PHE Spa offers relaxing treatments. Before or after a herbal scrub, couples massage, or hot stones treatment (among plenty of other choices), you can use the steam bath, sauna, and heated indoor pool. 
 
The colourful guestrooms are worth a mention. The graffiti-style decor that adorns the walls of the lobby and hallways also flows into the rooms, with teal blue walls further livened with zany artwork, tangerine rugs, and zebra print furnishings.

    Crowned by the mighty temple of the Parthenon, a visit to the Acropolis is an unmissable experience on a trip to Athens. After exploring it up close, you’ll get a fantastic view of it lit up at night from the rooftop pool at NYX Esperia Palace.

    Just outside the hotel is Old Parliament, Greece’s oldest museum, a treasure trove of exhibits. But one of Athens’ best museums is considered the National Archaeological Museum with its sensational collections of Greek antiques.
