"By far, one of the best hotel experiences my husband and I have ever had—and we have traveled to many places around the world!
We originally booked the Athens Capital Center Hotel through our travel agent as the first stop on a very special trip celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and my 40th birthday, followed by visits to Mykonos and Santorini. From the moment we arrived, the staff at Athens Capital Center were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating.
Because we arrived in the morning, our room was not yet ready. We went out to explore Athens and have lunch, and when we returned, the staff asked if we would be open to an upgrade at their sister property, Athens Capital Suites. We were certainly open to it—and we are so glad we said yes!
A member of the Athens Capital Center team personally walked us down the block to the Suites. The moment we opened the door to our room, we knew we were in for something special. The room was beautiful, and the amenities and service were exceptional. We were welcomed with a complimentary minibar stocked with bottled water and wine, and our stay included access to the club level, which offered a wonderful daily breakfast—with the option to have it delivered to our room—along with midday snacks and happy hour.
What impressed us most was how seamlessly everything was handled. Once we accepted the upgrade, the staff coordinated behind the scenes to transfer our luggage without us having to worry about a thing. We also had several tours arranged through our travel agent, and our guides were originally scheduled to meet us at the Athens Capital Center. The hotel team took care of everything and ensured that each guide knew to meet us at the Suites instead. That level of attention to detail made our entire stay completely stress-free.
We especially loved the intimate feel of Athens Capital Suites. Every time we entered the hotel, we were greeted warmly, and over our three-night stay, we genuinely felt like we were getting to know the staff at the club level. It felt much more personal than a typical hotel experience.
The staff also went above and beyond to make our special occasions memorable. On our anniversary, we returned to our room to find a thoughtful surprise from the hotel—a beautiful bottle of wine, a cheese board, and a special anniversary dessert. It was such a meaningful gesture and truly made us feel celebrated. These are the little touches that turn a great hotel stay into an unforgettable experience.
And I cannot say enough about the butler service. Our butler was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless throughout our stay. The service was attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and it truly made our anniversary and birthday celebration feel special.
I arrived in Athens not even knowing that Athens Capital Suites existed, and I left already asking myself, “When are we coming back?”
In fact, I am already planning our next visit and intend to book Athens Capital Suites specifically for a future trip with my children. The rooms, hospitality, and level of service were simply phenomenal.
The location is another major plus. The hotel is within walking distance of many of Athens’ key landmarks, restaurants, and shopping, making it an incredibly convenient home base for exploring the city.
I cannot recommend Athens Capital Suites highly enough. What started as an unexpected upgrade turned into one of the highlights of our entire Greece trip. The exceptional staff, beautiful accommodations, personalized service, and attention to every detail made our 15th anniversary and my 40th birthday celebration truly unforgettable.
