"We stayed at the Intercontinental for 3 nights during a fantastic trip to Athens. The view of the Acropolis from the 9th floor was amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable. The service by all the personnel was outstanding. Everything we hoped for. We ate in the restaurant our first night and the food was excellent and the service was outstanding - beyond our expectations. Panayiotis was professional but friendly with the perfect sense of humor. He charmed us. He suggested excellent dishes and made sure we had everything we needed for the delicious meal. We enjoyed it so much we returned to the restaurant again the following night. Definitely the best server we encountered on our trip and the best in years. Highly recommend this hotel, this restaurant, and Panayiotis!"

"Location was in a very central location, easy to get to and get around Athens. The hotel exceptionally clean lobby with a very friendly staff to greet you not only when you got out of the car, but when you checked in as well. The rooms were absolutely what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Wonderful lobby to sit and relax enjoying an afternoon drink and the restaurant breakfast offered something for every traveler."

"I found it to be okay, but not impressed since it’s supposed to be a 5 star hotel. It was the little things that stood out. We had a suite. The decor was beautiful. Our bathroom door didn’t not shut all the way. Perhaps the weatherstripping/door seals were recently replaced. Either way, it would not close. The breakfast was good, many choices. I had French toast and on another occasion hash brown potatoes. The food was cold every time. Finally, one of the utensils at my place setting was dirty. On a good point, the concierge was very helpful and recommended a restaurant I loved and went to numerous times during my stay.."
