"Pros:- Excellent pool and beach area Room was very well equipped and with a balcony Plenty of beach towels Good view of sea from hotel and room Large outdoor restaurant seating area Good range of food Buggy service available for transport up and down hill Very clean everywhere Staff were excellent Hotel was quiet at all times Cons:- Superior double was very small Very steep hill back to rooms Too far from harbour to walk and only one shuttle service a day to harbour in the mornings coming back at 1.45pm Limited times for lunch and dinner-breakfast was until 10.30, lunch 1.00-2.30 but pool snack bar didn’t open until 3.00pm and closed at 6.00pm so not able to just have a snack for lunch. Drinks were not of the best quality Be aware of the pebble beaches The harbour and old town are charming and small"

"Very nice hotel, rooms up a steep hill golf buggy needed on a few occasions. But rooms set out like a small village, however rooms quite small, that said all you need toiletries, safe, air con, slippers & robes, and cleaned daily with towel change should you want it, clean beach/ pool towel daily also. No noise heard at all no rowdiness a bonus. Asked for an ironing board and was in room before we got up the hill. All staff I can say are brilliant all very polite & attentive all deserve a mention. Pool sun bed very comfy not so on beach! Beach very pebbly beach shoes needed, but it’s great at each side of hotel for snorkelling as we did. Main hotel reception, bar area, restaurant & sunset viewing point all nice as is the Greek restaurant although they over face you. Food very nice lots of choice, lots of lovely fish which was great for me, all meals very nice. Drinks wine ok white I didn’t like but we drank rose & red, cocktails very good & shorts nice, however the beer alpha was very weak, had the same beer in a bar in Patitiri near the harbour & was definitely a difference the latter better. Bonus is it’s not too far from the town & old town both worth a visit. Was a few children but not really a holiday place for them. Overall a great chillaxing holiday in a lovely setting, and if your lucky a morning mooching round skiathos town while you wait for your transfer to airport home."

"Just come back from a 9 night stay at the Marpunta resort. What a fantastic place from the stunning scenery , the standard of the high quality food on offer , the clenliness of the hotel , the friendliness of the staff . Also a special mention of Katt, William from the animation team and Juan Pedrow ( the life guard ) you helped make this such a wonderful holiday. To cap it all we are looking to return next year. Thank you to all the staff at Marpunta you have a fantastic resort"
