"An Elsayed employee shouts at guests during check-in (I recorded it for the hotel management), then waves them off to the elevator, calling them "bay-bay" as if they were talking to a colleague. He used profanity. This is the first time I've ever experienced something like this. This is outrageous service for Platinum guests. He didn't even inform us about breakfast times."

"This is a hotel in an excellent location - almost directly across the street from the main train station and at the entrance to the old town. The staff is helpful and friendly and the rooms are of a good size at a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a nice variety of items to choose from. I had a great stay here"

"This hotel has some pros and cons. Big pro is the location, right at the top of the Altstadt and easily accessible from the railway station, however my room looked out over Konigstrasse and it was VERY noisy every night with people walking by, restaurant downstairs. Unfortunately I couldn't be moved, so it was earplugs for me for the stay which definitely helped. The room is fairly generous for a Nuremberg hotel in size as is the bathroom, shower has fantastic pressure. If you like hand towels and face washers, bring your own because they are not supplied. Unlike another reviewer, the bed is so uncomfortable it was nearly unbearable, it was a 2 inch pad on top of a bed base, so not even a real mattress, it was awful for me, but if you like a hard mattress, you'll be OK. Heating in my room didn't seem to be adjustable at night, so was quite warm during the night. I would have expected a few basics in the room such as bottled water, tissues and a small room safe. If you have anything you need to lock up, reception can help. The staff were helpful, and provided me hot water for tea some nights as there is no facilities to do this. Hotel is having a major renovation next month, so maybe a few of these issues will be addressed."
