"I loved staying her! I went to Germany for my first time on this trip, and I was there for Taylor Swift. I loved this hotel. I was glad I chose one that was not directly in the city center of Munich because I was afraid of road noise and lack of Air Conditioning. My room was on the first floor, in a "new" section of the hotel, and it faced the garden. It was perfectly equipped with a large bathroom, shower stall, dual flush on the toilet, iron, ironing board, closet, safe, (tiny) fridge for drinks, AC, ample lighting, functional windows, and ample outlets. I do wish the outlets offered USB ports instead of only the plug in parts.
It was walkable to grocery (Aldi), sit-down dining, take-out, bars, and bakeries. I popped into a Zara, and I walked by a Woolworth. There are MANY dm's (CVS/Walgreens but without medicine) in walking distance, an Apotheke (Medicine), and an ATM in the train station about 2 blocks away. I was in that train station almost every day! I wish I had more time there to learn the layout of the public transit - all of what I used was wonderful.
I was able to walk to Hoffbrauhaus, a tour place I used for 2 tours (beer/brewery and the Neuschwanstein Castle; Radiant Tours), Marienplatz, The National Theatre Munich, Odeonsplatz, and Olympiastadion. The walks are lovely, paved well, sometimes through parks, and with well-marked crossings. Most of the tourist places, including the stadium, were about a 45-min walk but with PodCasts, it went by quickly. The weather helped, it was lovely. I was able to safely walk to the concert, and back to the hotel. Doing that saved me so much money from demand-pricing on Uber, and I hadn't been able to explore public transit yet. The neighborhood was always busy, but interestingly calm. I never heard road noise and never had to use my earplugs.
Daily breakfast was offered, and was typical of my previous European and South American travels. There were sliced meats and cheeses, breads, fruits, yogurt, eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, and cereal. There was a coffee machine which made either 6 or 8 specialty drinks (think hot chocolate, cappuccino, latte). The staff were friendly and kept the place very clean.
The staff at the desk were kind, helpful, spoke English, though I had my German phrases and translation app handy :). Check-in was a breeze, and my card always worked at my door. They offered cleaning service which I declined daily; it's a "me" thing. The front desk offered to call cabs for me, which I also declined, as I had feet for walking, or the Uber/FreeNow apps for rides.
They had a bar and a restaurant which I did not go to, but the drinks looked good. I have personally recommended this hotel to friends who will be traveling soon."
