Hampton by Hilton Munich City West

"We stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Munich City West during our visit to Munich and were welcomed very warmly at check-in. Our room was bright, modernly furnished, very clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We felt comfortable from the very beginning. The location of the hotel is also very convenient. Thanks to the good connection to public transport, you can reach Munich's city center quickly and easily. The hotel is also very well located for a visit to Oktoberfest – an important plus point for us. Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel with a friendly reception, comfortable rooms, and a good location. We would consider the Hampton by Hilton Munich City West again for another stay in Munich."

"Very disappointing stay and not what I expected from a Hilton property. During our stay, the elevator was not working for five days, which meant we had to carry our luggage up and down five floors ourselves. The air conditioning in our room was also not working properly. We also experienced a major incident where the fire alarm continued for around four hours and there was a prolonged power outage. Breakfast service was heavily affected as well, and instead of the normal breakfast we were given basic sandwiches. I want to emphasize that the staff were polite, helpful and clearly tried their best to manage a very difficult situation. My complaint is not about the employees. However, I am a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at Hilton hotels in many countries, so I found it especially disappointing that despite all of these problems, no refund or meaningful compensation was provided. We paid around €350 per night, and the level of accommodation and basic services provided during this stay simply did not justify that price. In a situation like this, guests should either be relocated to another hotel or offered an appropriate refund or meaningful compensation. In my opinion, a hotel should not continue operating normally when essential services such as elevators, air conditioning, electricity and normal breakfast service are unavailable for several days. This experience was far below the standard I associate with Hilton and unfortunately left us very disappointed."
