"If you’re visiting Munich and want a hotel that makes it easy to get around, this is a very convenient location. We stayed in Room 512, and being able to walk to Munich Central Station, the subway and Marienplatz was a major plus. It’s especially handy if you’re arriving by train or planning to use public transportation to explore the city.
📍 Location & neighborhood
The hotel is well positioned for sightseeing and transportation. Marienplatz is walkable, and the main train station is close enough that you can easily get around without relying on taxis.
One thing travelers should know is that the immediate area felt a little more sketchy during the daytime than at night. It didn’t prevent us from walking around, but it’s something I’d keep in mind when choosing a hotel in this part of Munich.
🛏️ The room
Our room was comfortable but pretty basic. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated having both a refrigerator and in-room safe.
We had a street-facing room, but noise wasn’t really an issue. The only noticeable interruptions were occasional police sirens.
A nice bonus was the boxes of water provided in the room, which we really appreciated after being out sightseeing.
🚿 Bathroom — a few quirks
There were a few things worth knowing before booking. The toilet wasn’t particularly powerful, and we sometimes had to flush twice to get toilet paper down.
The bathroom door kept closing on its own, which was a little annoying. The shower also has a partial glass door rather than a fully enclosed shower, so water splashed onto the bathroom floor.
📺 Wi-Fi & TV
We tried to cast to the TV but couldn’t get it to work. I’m not sure whether it was a technical issue during our stay or if casting required a different/paid Wi-Fi option, so this may be worth checking with the hotel if having streaming access is important to you.
👋 Service
The front desk staff and cleaning staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. We had a positive experience with the staff throughout our stay.
⭐ Overall
This hotel is a practical choice if location and transportation are priorities. The comfortable bed, friendly staff, complimentary water and walkability to major transportation were the highlights for us.
The room itself was just okay, and there were a few bathroom and TV/Wi-Fi issues, but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay.
Traveler tip: If you’re arriving by train and want to explore Munich on foot and by subway, the location is very convenient. If you’re sensitive to neighborhood atmosphere, take a look at the immediate surroundings before booking. And if TV casting is important to you, ask about the Wi-Fi/casting setup before your stay."
