"The hotel is well located, but the quality of services is quite bad. Showers and bed are quite old and not comfortable at all. I'll never come back to hotel again. I heard from some friends who paid a similar price in another hotel in the same time, that they even had breakfast!"

"I booked the hotel on 24 December 2015 for my husband, who is attending a trade fair in October 2016. The hotel was booked via Expedia and we received a confirmation on the same day. He has been going for over 30 years for business so we know that it's important to book well ahead to get a good rate. On 21 July my husband received an email saying his booking had been cancelled due to renovations taking place at the hotel at the time of his stay. We checked this and found that bookings are available for the day before the fair and the day after and that the hotel is fully booked during the fair. My husband wrote back to the hotel and told them that the cancellation was unacceptable and enclosed photos showing their availability, requesting that they reconfirm his booking. On 23 July the hotel wrote back - no explanation, saying the booking had been cancelled. We are shocked at such unprofessional, greedy conduct. It gives a bad name to the German tourism industry and taints Dusseldorf."

"A very nice two star lacking in the facilities that would get it a higher rating, situated in a nice area of town and on the tram line for easy access to the Altstad. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained with the facilities you would expect. Noise is not a problem as rooms do not face the street. WiFi is available in the lobby but does not reach to the rooms. 24 hour access is not an option as far as I could tell, fortunately I returned to the hotel each night before the restaurant closed. There are no safes or deposit boxes for the storage of passport's or travel money. This is an old hotel and is not handicapped accessible. Breakfasts are simple, cold food of cereal, bread, spreads, cheeses, meats, fruit, yoghurt. On Sunday morning it seemed as if I were the only Guest as a place was set out for me and no one else appeared. Service can be slightly off with items not available or not being able to top up your coffee. Car parking is not as easy as advertised, there are a couple of spaces in front of the hotel but this is a residential neighborhood where parking is a premium. Expect to do a lot of driving around in search for a spot. The hotels major business is the restaurant downstairs where they serve Mediterranean food. Checkout was difficult as no one there speaks English, it was a 15 minute process and I do not know what the manager was trying to tell me. The price was as advertised and I had not made any additional charges. Eventually the manager understood that I knew what the price was, wrote out a receipt and took my card for processing. All in all the hotel seems to cater for domestic customers but at the low price it is great value. Any communication is impossible it you don't speak German and it will cause confusion."
