B and B HOTEL Potsdam

"Location location location as they say... Well, this hotel is really well located within walking distance of the main station. Now if you happen to come by car make sure to arrive before 22h as the parking is not accessible after that (it would be quite easy to have the installed keypad actually work with the room code but no) and given the surrounding finding a parking spot can be challenging. Now if you happen to actually enter the parking don't expect to enter the hotel (again with you room code) from the dedicated entrance - it is not operational. Quite a long way back to the main entrance if you happen to be handicapped or simply carrying heavy luggages. Oh, I also really have it when the cleaning team insists entering the room at 830 am despite shooting them that it is still occupied (and no, could not locate any "do no disturb" signage). I guess it is pretty clear that I have not had a great experience. Nothing that can't be fixed, though"

"We stayed four nights here in September 2023. This is a budget hotel but we found it a pleasant, well located place to stay. Although small, the room had everything we needed. The bed was good. The breakfast is very reasonably priced and had everything we needed. The breakfast area can become a bit crowded at times but we always found a place to sit. The hotel is a very short walk to the Hauptbahnof so taking the S-Bahn into Berlin or elsewhere from here is very easy. There is a lot to see in Potsdam. "

"Worst hotel I stayed in Germany during my trip. For a EUR 90 per night you get a small, basic room, dirty old black carpets, smell of sewage in the bathroom and from the air conditioning unit so you have to keep the window open all day and night. There is no safe or any other amenities in the room like tea/coffee maker, water or fridge. But for your EUR 90 you will get eco crazy Management ideas like recycled brown toilet paper, paper cups instead of glass, experimental ROOM CLEANING EVERY OTHER DAY and appalling quality of breakfast consisting of 1 choice of ham and cheese, cereal and a few apples and pears. No scramble eggs or bacon or sausages, and the few boiled eggs that they provide disappear very quickly and are not replaced for 1/2 hr. The breakfast room is so small, people are crowded sitting next to each other feeling uncomfortable during COVID. There is only 1 small elevator and you have to wait for ages for it to come. If you need to stay close to the train station in Potsdam, then the hotel is ok for 1 night, as the beds are relatively comfortable but otherwise I recommend you look elsewhere! I stayed in a sister B&B hotel in Poznan, Poland and it was a completely different experience - a beautiful, new, modern hotel with a fantastic breakfast choice for half the price, so I know that it's the management fault that the Potsdam hotel is run so badly."
