"Great location and minutes from the station but very busy hotel. We had to wait 30 minutes to check in, long queue to the checkin desk. They can't manage the check in. The self service terminal don't work. Break time is always busy and hot food choice is a bit limited. Rooms don't get serviced unless you call them. Rooftop bar is more of a viewing gallery with a fridge to a small choice of drink from the fridge. 6 Euro fee applies to visit the roof top which does have a swing at the top."

"We stayed here for the Berlin Marathon. Many tour companies from all over the world came and stayed at this hotel. Since it’s located at Alexanderplatz, it’s just a few stops away from the marathon venue via the S-Bahn or U-Bahn, so the location isn’t bad. However, Alexanderplatz is noisy late into the night, so earplugs are a must if you want to get to bed early the night before the race. The rooms aren’t very spacious—they’re on the small side. Two single beds are placed almost side by side. Instead of a business desk, there’s a small table, which might be suitable for drinking coffee. There’s no bathtub, and the shower room is enclosed in clear glass, so privacy is provided by just a single thin curtain. The toilet also has no lock and is covered in translucent glass. If you’re concerned about privacy, sharing a room here is out of the question. The in-room amenities, such as towels, are on par with or below a three-star hotel. Breakfast is included, and the restaurant’s selection is decent. Compared to the inefficiency of the front desk staff, the restaurant staff worked quickly and efficiently."

"I stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz for four nights while attending a conference in Berlin, and overall I had a good stay, although there were definitely a few areas where the hotel could improve. The location is probably the biggest positive. Being right beside Alexanderplatz made getting to and from the airport really straightforward, as well as providing excellent connections to pretty much everywhere else in the city. For me, it was particularly convenient as I was attending a conference at Messe Berlin and there was a direct connection from Alexanderplatz, which made getting to the conference each day really easy. The room itself was good. It was a decent size, modern, well laid out and had a great view of the TV Tower, which was a nice bonus. The gym was also a good standard, and there is a wellness centre which unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to use during my stay. Unfortunately, the service was a bit more mixed. On my first night I asked for an iron and was told they were all in use. I asked again later that evening and got the same response, so I left it until the morning of my conference. Unfortunately, after asking again a couple of times, I was still told that none were available. It took over 24 hours before I finally managed to get one! In the meantime, I had to resort to the classic hotel steam-shower technique to get my shirt at least wearable 😂. For someone staying for a business conference, I would expect getting an iron to be a little easier. I also unfortunately became unwell during my stay, which I suspect may have been from something I ate at the breakfast buffet, potentially the mackerel. It was a pretty rough day and I had to leave my conference early. When I mentioned this, I was asked, “Are you sure it was that?” I appreciate that the hotel obviously couldn’t know what had caused it, but I felt the situation could have been handled with a little more empathy. There were also a couple of occasions where I found the service from a member of staff, B. Raut, particularly disappointing. She wasn’t very helpful when I was trying to sort out the iron situation, and I also had an issue after leaving my phone in the gym. Housekeeping had apparently located it, but when I asked if she could contact them to confirm whether they had it, I was told to go and check myself. When I asked if she could call housekeeping, the interaction became quite rude. There were a few other occasions where I felt poorly engaged with, including being met with a hand gesture to indicate that she was busy. I would genuinely recommend some additional customer service training in this area. That said, there were plenty of other staff members who were very helpful, friendly and polite, so I don’t want those experiences to completely overshadow the stay. One thing I definitely can’t fault was the dinner. I had the signature Spagos Bowl on a couple of occasions and also tried the cheese board, both of which were excellent. Overall, I’d say the hotel has a fantastic location, a good standard of room and some good facilities. For a business trip or conference in Berlin, the location is particularly convenient. My stay was unfortunately let down by a few service issues, but there were also plenty of positives and some very helpful staff. A good hotel overall, but definitely room for improvement when it comes to customer service."
