"I rarely leave reviews because I'm generally quite easygoing, but my recent stay was disappointing. I was travelling with my teenage son and stayed for two nights (22–24 July 2026). I had specifically booked a twin room. On arrival, I was told we had been "upgraded" to a room with a queen bed instead. The receptionist acted as though this was a favour, despite it not meeting the room type I had reserved. I had to ask to speak to the manager. As there were no twin rooms available that night, I requested a discount. The hotel agreed to discount only the first night, and we then had to pack up and move to a twin room the following day. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, so expect plastic dust sheets, plywood covering parts of the lifts, and significant construction work. Don't expect to relax in your room during the day. The noise from the building works is overwhelming. Had I been informed about the refurbishment before my stay, I would have cancelled my reservation and booked elsewhere. The hotel made no effort to notify guests in advance. My advice is to contact the hotel before booking or travelling to confirm that the refurbishment has finished and that you will receive the room type you actually reserved."

"The housekeeping really need to improve, especially when new guest check-in to the room. I found candies wrap near my bed, previous paper envelope for the room key of the last guest before me near the phone. The tissue was nearly run out. The shower needs to be fixed as the water leak out from shower door and the wall to the other side connecting to the toilet. The good thing is location is hard to beat and the staffs are professional. No noise problems for me even I can hear someone say something. Breakfast are out as they are renovation the restaurant."

"comfortable and clean room, friendly staff and a central location. the wifi worked fine as well. Minus points are, that the room i was staying in was needing upgrades and maintenance in several places."
