Holiday Inn Berlin City East Side

"Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn as went to Berlin to watch Eisbaren Berlin play Ice Hockey at the Uber Arena. The location of the Hotel is perfect as it is just across the road from the Uber Arena which and we could see from our room window(room 203). The hotel is approx a 5 to 10min walk from the Warschauer Strasse S Bahn train station. We caught the S9 train to here from the airport which cost €5 and took around 35mins. Alexander Platz in the centre of Berlin can be reached either by train(around €4-5, uber (around €7) or if you are able to we walked down the side of the river Spree into the city centre which took around 30mins. The hotel was very clean and modern and the room had lots of amenities including air con, free WIFI, a free safe, a kettle with coffee and tea with the bathroom having a hairdryer and dove shampoo, bodywash and handwash. The only downside was there was no pots of milk and only coffee whitener. The hotel bar is a relaxing place for a last drink of the night and is resonable priced. All the hotel staff were friendly and professional and i will be staying here again on my next visit to Berlin."

"I stayed at this Holiday Inn in Berlin with fairly high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was overall disappointing. The most negative aspect was the customer service. I reported a continuous noise coming from the pipes twice, similar to a constant flow of water, which made it difficult to rest. The response was simply that there were no other rooms available, without any attempt to find a solution or show concern for the customer. The impression was one of a rather cold attitude, like: "figure it out." Another small disappointment was the absence of the minibar and also the classic welcome bottle of water. For a hotel of this category, these are details one expects to find. The strangest episode occurred at 8 in the morning when two people entered my room without knocking. They did not seem to be cleaning staff, especially since it was an unusual time. As soon as they realized the room was occupied, they immediately left without explanations. An episode that left me rather perplexed. It should be noted that the rooms are still in line with the Holiday Inn standard: clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was also a plus, with a good variety of products and an abundant offering."
