Hotel des Ambassadeurs

"WATCH OUT this hotel is known for having BES BUGS. We caught them and I turned out to have brought them home. I spent days researching the internet to know what to do and days washing all my clothes on 60 Celsius and treating the house. Upon asking them to refund us they said they would get back to us and never did. Friendly staff when we were there but this last bit really sucked. Beware in any hotel, check the mattress and walls and cracks first, with your stuff outside and not in the room, and have your luggage on a rack if possible."

"Things were just okay, but for the price, not worth it. I booked it because it was near the bus station, but be aware that it's a bit sketchy of a neighbourhood. When I checked in the staff member gave me attitude because I wanted to pay with credit card instead of cash (what is this, 1970??) The water pressure in the shower is practically non existent - it's so weak that I couldn't even properly wash my very short hair. But at least it had hot water. They have a sign on the door trumpeting how much they care about the environment, asking us to turn off lights, etc. But they don't even have recycling bins in the room. Clearly they only "care about the environment" if it pads their profit margin. Very dishonest. It was difficult to sleep at times due to noise in the hallway. The heater kept making annoying noises so I just turned it off and slept in the cold. Probably wouldn't stay here again as I prefer a hotel room with at least some water pressure and a decent sleep quality. This place is not it."

"Not the greatest of experiences. Myself and my partner booked this on the night of arrival. We asked if there’s parking available, they said yes there was. But then when we arrived they then said there wasn’t. I also payed €8 each for the break fast to then come down and see it was a choice of 3 different types of ham, uncooked eggs and bread. The room was dusty upon arrival, and had a very unpleasant feeling about it. We did manage to get parking but as mentioned on Booking.com “There will be no extra charge for this request.” By no surprise we had to pay for the parking on top of the room. 1/5 terrible. Asking way too much, for the standards given."
