Hotel Le Florin Rennes

"Like its address says, this hotel is right across the street from the Rennes train station. It is located about a 15 minute walk to the center of the city with its pedestrian streets, medieval buildings, restaurants and bars, tourist sights and museums. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. Since we were too early to check our luggage was by reception for us both at check in and at check out. Our room was large, well lit with a modern bathroom. The room had an espresso machine so we bought our breakfast at the nearly patisserie and had it in our room with a good cup of coffee. Even though our room faced the train station, its square and multiple restaurants, it was very quiet. It had a small balcony that faced the square for nice views. This hotel was a solid choice for our stay in Rennes."

"Once you decide to spend your vacation in Brittany, and not just at one spot (there are many) but to crisscross the region and see more, book a hotel in Rennes, being equally distant to most of the province (except for Brest and Finistére). And FLORIN, just opposite the Station (Gare) but not far from the citycentre, might be a good option (fair price with french and continental breakfast)"

"Location : The hotel is just opposite to the Rennes train station. This is very convenient when you arrive late. The gare routière is also nearby, which is useful when you need to take the bus to Mont Saint Michel. The SNCF train station is not exactly the city centre. However, you can walk to the city centre quite easily (about 20 min walk at most) or you can take the subway.from the SNCF train station. The rooms are clean. The hotel seem to have been refurbished recently. The staff was nice and helpful, especially the young woman on saturday afternoon. The hotel is a 2 star hotel. I have been in 3 stars hotel which were not as good as this one."
