"This hotel has been beautifully updated- I didn’t recognise it from the pictures on here!
My husband booked this hotel for us for 2 nights at the start of March.
Firstly, the hotel is in the perfect location for anyone arriving from the airport. Our flight landed at 12:30 and we were checking in the hotel by 2pm. We got the train from the airport to Guard Nord train station. It was €12 followed by an easy walk to the hotel. You can get any of the trains, including the express one like we did that has limited stops. This makes the journey far less confusing than if you were staying near a smaller station.
The hotel is in an amazing position for exploring all areas of Paris. There are great bars and restaurants near by, it is a similar area to the West End in London! Whether you prefer walking or metro (or a bit of both like us!) it really is the best location.
The reception team are all really friendly. There is water on arrival and the process was very smooth.
Our room was on the second floor. There is a lift but we took the stairs.
Our room had been beautifully updated. It is really modern, comfortable and so spacious for a big city. Honestly the comfiest bed and pillows! The windows open to a beautiful view of a Parisian street. There are chargers/ plugs by the bed and a TV.
The real germ of the room is a separate, stylish bathroom. There is a small corridor between the bathroom and bedroom which means you get lots of privacy when using the bathroom which is so rare in city hotels. It has been stylishly renovated… you can even play your music through the mirror! Again the window opens fully. There is no bath but a large walk in shower.
If you are unsure about booking this hotel please ignore all the old reviews and book it!!
For me, the only slightly negative I could possibly mention is the rooms aren’t totally sound prof and we sometimes heard the upstairs guests. However I imagine this is really common in traditional French buildings. The street is very quiet and we had a great night sleeps
Thank you for a great stay!"
