Hotel du Printemps

"A nice hotel, located a bit to the edge of the city center, but with Nation station (4 metro lines and RER A) nearby, it has excellent transport connections to the rest of the city. Everything was as advertised: rooms matched the pictures, everything was very clean, friendly and helpful staff. The room I booked (standard double) was cozy, a bit on the smaller side (which is of course common in Paris). I was traveling alone, so no problem for me, but for a couple it could be a bit tight. A few rooms aren't accessible by elevator. That was no issue for me, but if you have mobility issues, it's good to let the hotel know when booking your room. Good price/quality ratio, I would definitely book again."

"There are 2 hotel called Printemps in Paris, very far away one from the other. People obviously can not have an idea of this, until they book the wrong one by mnistake: a human, understandable mistake. Going to the wrong hotel and being forced to find another one on the spot in the centre of Paris is a bad experience and can creates big problems to travelers. You also know that Paris is a very expensive town. You can find water bottles at 8 euro!!! Water!!! Life!!! So i think we need more intelligence and availabilty in this world. A friend booked a room for me in the wrong Printemps and paid in advance. Ok, it's his fault, and the room is not refoundable, and this was clear in advance. But you know (and also the other hotel Printemps knows) that this happens very often since years; many persons make reservations in the wrong Printemps. You know that. So my friend asked to be refounded kindly, and you said no. It's up to you and you did not do anything wrong, but I think that being reasonable and human is more precious that being commercially correct. So my rate for your hotel is 0. It would have been more clever (also under a commercial point of view) by your side, to offer a 50% discount or so. It's natural that I will never say my friends and collegues to go to your hotel."

"Location is excellent, with shops, restaurants, and public transit in a comfortable neighborhood. Staff are wonderful and super helpful. The hotel is clean and quiet and we enjoyed the breakfast. HOWEVER. One day I returned to my room in the middle of the day and saw a man letting himself into my room with a key. I hurried quietly down the hall and walked in right after him. He was taken aback and quickly left. As he walked away, I took a photo of him and later showed it to the worker at the front desk. She said he was the owner and went to ask him why he was entering my room, since this is not normally done. He told her he was checking to make sure the staff had done a good job cleaning my room. In fact, I had asked the staff NOT to clean the room, so he had no reason to be in there at all. The whole encounter with him felt shady and "off," and because of it, I would not stay here again."
