Best Western Hotel Ronceray Opera

"I had booked a non-cancelable room directly with this hotel for 26 and 27 June, 2026, during the big heat wave. Our Eurostar from Brussels to Paris was cancelled with less than 3 hours notice. No Eurostar was available either for the rest of that day or for the next day. I immediately called the hotel and asked about changing the reservation to another weekend and was told by the desk clerk that he could do nothing, and I would have to write their management--this was around 13h15 on a Friday. I wrote the management an email. When I made a follow-up call asking why I'd had no response to my email, I was told that no one would respond until Monday. I was then told that the reservation was non-cancelable and non-modifiable. There was NOTHING in the information I was given that said the reservation was non-modifiable, and given these incredibly extenuating circumstances, I would expect some kind of relief. I offered to come at another time of year when the hotel was slow and to stay extra days. Their answer was still that the reservation was non-modifiable. When I wrote questioning this, as I find this nowhere in the information I have received or on their website, I was told that it was in the terms and conditions. I have not seen this in the terms and conditions and asked to be directed to it. I received no answer to that email request. I wrote a few days later asking for a response. Still no response from the hotel's management. The fact that the hotel management can not even be bothered to respond to an email asking them to justify their contention that the reservation is non-modifiable speaks volumes to the lack of concern they have for their customers. As a seasoned traveler, I find this very short sighted and evidence of a total lack of compassion for their customer. Note that the hotel charged me for TWO days, not just one, and made no effort to offer any compromise measure of any sort even though I have little doubt that given the fact that they supposedly have air conditioning, they were able to let that room both days. I will never reserve here, or at any Best Western, again."

"Location was really good and not far away for the highlights and for the train station. Good breakfast. And providing some free snack and drinks on 2pm-10pm. Staff were really nice and friendly welcoming . Room was really little space.but very clean. Room service clean every day on request. I can really recommend it!"
