"I had a very frustrating experience at Hotel Villa des Ternes. I arrived at the hotel as planned and was shown my room, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. I politely explained that I did not feel comfortable and asked to cancel and leave. The reception staff informed me that the situation would be handled with Booking.com and that I was free to go. I therefore left in good faith and booked another hotel at my own expense. To my surprise, I was later charged €175 for a “no-show / late cancellation”, even though I physically presented myself at the hotel and had a discussion with the staff before leaving. Despite explaining the situation clearly, the hotel refused to reconsider and applied their policy without taking into account what actually happened. This feels unfair and not in line with the level of service one would expect from a 4-star hotel. I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious, as flexibility and customer consideration seem very limited in case of any issue."

"Arrived a bit earlier just to drop our bags and check in. I was asked to present the Credit Card, exactly the same one I used to book the hotel. Otherwise, I was told We would not be allowed to stay in. It took me sometime to explain that this booking was made several months ago and the account used for this booking was now closed. Still a very unpleasant start. The rest was ok… good location, peaceful surroundings, room was also ok. Standard 4* hotel."
