"We stayed at Le Jardin De Verre for 2 nights in summer 2026 as a family of 4 in the family apartment and I could not recommend it more. The latin quarter is a beautiful place to explore, lots of local restaurants and shops. The courtyard at Le Jardin is beautiful and there is a lovely little coffee shop that sells amazing pastries, perfect for breakfast before heading off into Paris. Really accessible from Gare du Nord and close to a couple of metro stops for an easy ride into Paris."

"Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel turned out to be extremely disappointing. I chose the hotel based on the photos and its high rating. However, aside from the attractive exterior and the restaurant with a coworking area, I didn’t find any other positive aspects. I had to leave the hotel just 5 hours after checking in, even though I had paid in advance for 3 nights, which the hotel did not compensate me for. First, the room I was given was on the ground floor and had virtually no natural light—the window looked out onto a dark courtyard. They switched me to a room on the third floor—but I couldn’t stay there because the hotel has a forced-air ventilation system, and the fans in the room itself can’t be turned off—they make so much noise that it’s impossible to sleep. When I asked if there was a way to turn off the fan in my room, the manager and a technician told me it wasn’t possible. When I checked into the room, I couldn’t find any hotel slippers—I called the front desk, and they suggested I “go to a store and buy some myself.” I received a similar response when I asked for water to be brought to my room: “The hotel doesn’t have room service.” Also, there’s no cell service anywhere in the hotel—only Wi-Fi is available, and it’s impossible to make calls from the hotel using the regular phone network. One of the hotel’s two elevators is out of order. All in all, this hotel doesn’t meet the standards of a 4-star property by any measure, even by Paris’s modest standards. I lasted five hours and moved to another hotel. The hotel manager, Ismail, refused to give me even partial compensation, citing a “non-refundable rate.” However, all rates are non-refundable after check-in, and it’s impossible to know that nothing at the hotel is working until you check in. At check-out, I had to wait about 30 minutes standing in front of the manager while he prepared a letter regarding my early departure and a financial document; however, after 30 minutes, Ismail replied that he didn’t have time for that and would do it later. Three days later, I still hadn’t received anything in the mail. I raised this issue directly with the reservation operator as the hotel didn’t wish to cooperate and behaved in the most unpleasant way."

"This is a brand-new “apart-hotel” carved out of an old Paris building, with an innovative but ultimately frustrating management philosophy consisting of a front of 21st century glamor, with an underlying evisceration of all customer service. The idea is to create a luxury hotel at a friendly price, with a beautiful courtyard and a designy lobby. But the reality is that your only contact with the front desk is to text them by WhatsApp, and all areas of the building outside of your own room are a corporate no man’s land. Every square inch of lobby space is being sublet to other businesses, whether a bar or a fancy restaurant or a cafe or a fitness club. So for example the breakfast area is either a Starbucks-like cowork space, or else a fancy restaurant that costs €50 for breakfast. In the afternoon and evening the cowork space is crowded with people wearing headphones and working at laptops or ipads, who are not guests at the hotel. You have to walk through them to get to the elevator, which then requires a key card to operate. The main plus is the kitchenettes in the rooms, which mean you can make your own meals. This is nice for longer stays or for people with dietary restrictions. However, the rooms are really designed for short stays, due to the lack of closet space. None of the rooms have baths, and there is no bath or hot tub anywhere in the building. I lost an item of apparel in the fitness room, and the night staff actually found it, but they were under instructions to leave it where it was rather than take it to a lost-and-found — probably because of the corporate logic of relationships between the management, the cleaning service, and the fitness club, all of which are separate companies. But as a result my item was stolen. And the hotel staff lied to me about the fate of this item for a week… there was no way to get a word of truth from them, their only goal was to diminish their responsibility and keep me at a distance… and to do this they told mutually-contradictory stories which eventually unraveled. But really all of this is down to the management philosophy, which is as teflon-coated as the staff."
