Hotel Minerve

"Decent hotel for the price and location. Location was good as 10 minute walk to a major metro/train station and walkable to most areas! Good selection of restaurants and bars nearby and a supermarket right by it. The rooms were ok. We stayed in a twin room which was small but fine. However as we were facing back courtyard there was little to no natural light which wasnt great- this was the main downside as it meant we had to have a light on all the time. Aircon was good. A wardrobe and a shower (which was tiny!) but did the job. A major negative was that the cleaner never refilled our tea and coffee. We had to constantly go down to ask reception for coffee, tea and milk as they just stayed empty. Reception staff were clueless where they were and we were told there was no tea or milk available?? We even left a polite note asking cleaner to refill drinks next to the mug. This was ignored and mug was not washed. The hotel is quite dated and the corridors are very cramped and narrow but that was ok for us. We did have to give reception our room key every time we left and would receive it when we returned by saying our room number. Not really sure why this was done, but we were never asked for our name or proof we were actually staying in the room so security was not great as someone could easily lie to get a room key. Reception staff were nice and polite. Though breakfast was €17 each which is insanely expensive!! Overall our experience was fine - we weren’t really in the room in the day so the size didnt really matter. Good value for money and location as its right in central paris and not too expensive."

"Our second stay at the Minerve Hotel this year! Location excellent, staff at reception welcoming and helpful. On this visit, we were allocated to Room 208, a standard double room with traditional Parisian decor, small but ample for our four day stay. The air conditioning was welcome as the weather was unusually warm. No view to describe as the room faced the back of the hotel. The bathroom was modern. All made for a quiet, comfortable stay. Will definitely return. Enjoy!"

"This was a cozy and charming hotel close to boulangeries, shops, metros and pharmacies, and we loved that it was not very touristy. We ate at restaurants where we heard mostly the chatter of locals. We loved that you can open the balcony doors for fresh air and despite being hot during the day, the night breezes were lovely. The metro is close by for when we were too tired to walk."
