Handy base near the centre of Paris
If you fancy a city break with a bit of a twist, this aparthotel is the one. It’s set in the city’s super-modern business district, where skyscrapers, quirky art and food trucks are everywhere. And the best bit? You’re just 10 minutes on the metro from central Paris, so all the big-name sights are within easy reach.
This place is spot on for relaxed, no-fuss stays. There’s a 24-hour gym if you feel like earning that extra pastry, plus spacious studios and one-bedroom apartments where you can kick back in your own little home-from-home. Every apartment comes with a proper kitchen too — handy whether you fancy knocking up breakfast or just keeping your wine chilled. La Défense itself is a bit of a hidden gem. It’s packed with massive modern sculptures, cool hangouts and the huge Grande Arche — a giant square arch you’ll spot from miles away. Shopping malls, food markets and buzzing bars are all close by, and when you’re ready to dive into classic Paris, the Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe are just a short hop down the road.
When it comes to food, you’ve got options. The Staycafé’s open 24/7, serving up buffet breakfasts, snacks and pizzas (which you can eat in your apartment, in bed if you like, no judgement here). There’s freshly brewed coffee to get you moving in the mornings and a decent choice of drinks to wind down with later

Find out more about La Defense
La Défense, Paris, is the city’s premier business district three kilometres outside the centre. Most of the neighbourhood was built after the 1960s, so it shows a more contemporary side of the city, standing out against the mediaeval heart. It puts a modern spin on the classic Parisian atmosphere.
