"Incredibly convenient for transport links and storing luggage before departure to leave you to explore the city. The staff were lovely and very friendly. Hôtel felt very small, the lift big enough for one person and a suitcase (luckily we were only on the 1st floor) the room we had was tiny and despite being a family of myself and two children (1 of which is a baby) we walked in to find a double bed and no cot in a very compact room. When asked about the cot they told me they didn’t have one as were very busy. Luckily when I said we’d be checking back out they found one but didn’t have any bedding for it so just placed a duvet inside it. I was able to get by for the short stay we were there and had thankfully brought blankets with me but not ideal and made for a stressful beginning to our stay."

"This is a very well located hotel. Very close and easy walking distance from Gar du Nord with plenty of casual eateries and a small supermarket super close. Convenient for transport, mainline and metro and easy for taxis to stop outside. I got a great deal booking direct with the hotel. And it was a bargain. The hotel tries hard, with a pleasant seating area in reception. Complimentary newspapers and flavoured water and pastries on offer. Which is a nice touch. Ice machine in the basement. Staff are friendly and helpful. Casual and relaxed feel. The hotel is a little tired and dated and feels rather cramped with dark narrow corridors on the room floors. The bedroom is small and no frills. But has some of the practical things that are often missing from more expensive hotels. There are sockets close enough to the bed (no USB sockets), complimentary water, full length mirror, luggage rack, box of tissues, easy to control lighting. The a/c was effective. The bathroom is small but convenient and the shower is powerful enough. There is a small wardrobe and cases can be stored in the small entry way. The corridor (4th floor) did smell musty and although there is no noise from the street - the plumbing from adjacent rooms reverberates through the walls. So once your neighbour is up you are awake. This was a great solution for a Eurostar adjacent hotel and super convenient for a pleasant one night stay. At a very reasonable price."

"I had an excellent time and will definitely stay at Hotel Albert 1er Paris Lafayette again in the future. The location is perfect, close to the central train station and nice shops. The hotel is neat, elegant and very clean, and the staff is helpful. This was a very nice and cosy stay, so I recommend this hotel!"
