Mercure Paris Eiffel Mirabeau

"Agathe on the front desk is shockingly rude and unaccomodating. I've never experienced such actively negative customer service in all my travels around the should as I did here. If you're disabled definitely don't stay here. They have no idea of safety. They refused a chair in the room. My mother fell twice off the bed.. photos and witness details kept. They gave a tiny plastic toy stool for the shower which they eventually changed to a normal shower stool of normal height but this Agathe refused to let me take a photo of the pathetic one they first gave for my complaint. Fact they changed is proves my complaint. She even demanded back the regular size mugs we borrowed from the breakfast area as apparently they don't have enough. Agathe said 'other disabled people don't have a problem' right at check in when asking for the chair. That says it all really. She even said no to having change when we were paying the hotel taxes on arrival. Awful. My cousin was art the novotel just down the road which had proper rooms with proper furnishings as expected even in their regular rooms. We would NOT stay at the Mercure again . Agathe gives all French people the reputation they have for being rude."

"The hotel gave us the room that is next to the hotel, on the ground floor: avoid at all costs... no light, 1 small window in the room that looks out onto the courtyard where the trash cans are stored, you hear the subway every minute, and when you take a shower, you flood the entire tiny bathroom!"

"Lovely hotel. In a good position, close to Javel André Citroën Metro station. Yannis on reception was polite and very helpful. Functional but enjoyable continental breakfast. Room 406 was quiet and overlooked a small garden area at the rear of the building. Very little noise, impressive considering the local redevelopment going on in adjacent buildings. A short but nice stay. Around twenty minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower, closer still to Île aux Cygnes and the Statue of Liberty replica. Definitely book if staying in this part of Paris. We were left with a positive impression and would happily rebook for a return visit."
