"This hotel is in immediate need of maintenance and not up to expected Marriott standards. Staff was personable and friendly and offered great tips for sights. Breakfast was nice. Location was great close to the Eiffel Tower and bistros. The main issue was the not so much the age of the hotel, but lack of maintenance. We ended up staying in two different rooms and noticed similar problems in both. Difficulty controlling temperature in room, furnishings old and tired/uncomfortable, no shower curtains and grab bars in shower resulting in large amounts of water on the floor and obvious damage to carpets/doors, old elevator was a little scary and didn't always operate properly in opening at our floor. While the staff was exceptional, we will definitely find an alternative next time we're in Paris."

"We had an exceptional champagne tasting accompanied by salmon and cheeses with Marie. Marie has the perfect combination of champagne knowledge, engaging personality and humor. The champagnes were outstanding. We are now better educated on champagne, and we enjoyed every minute of our time with Marie."

"Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. Its only positive point is its location: the hotel is close to the Eiffel Tower (15 minutes on foot), the Arc de Triomphe (10 minutes on foot), and a subway station, which greatly facilitates exploring Paris. Several aspects of our stay were negative. Check-in was around 11:00 a.m., and we knew that the room would not be available before 3:00 p.m. We received our keys at 3:05 p.m., which is acceptable, but our suitcases were not delivered until 45 minutes later and only after contacting the front desk to claim them. The room is pretty but very small; it is impossible to open suitcases without first placing them on the bed. The closet is also very small and impractical for a stay of several days. The bed, on the other hand, is comfortable and the sheets are clean. There was no price list for the minibar. We were also surprised to note the absence of a complimentary bottle of water in the room, unlike all the other Marriott hotels where we have stayed. On the second day, we found a bottle of sparkling water on the table that we had not requested, and it had been added to our bill. Fortunately, it was removed when we pointed out that we had not opened it. Finally, we found the label next to the soap and lotion in the bathroom particularly unpleasant and tacky, indicating that these products would be charged if we took them, and specifying that they were available for purchase at the front desk. This is the first time I have seen this type of message in a hotel, especially one of this category. So, the value for money for this hotel is far from satisfactory, and we will not recommend it!"
