Grand Magic Hotel

"The location is excellent for Disneyland Paris and the room layout works well for families. The lobby and bar areas were beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. The food was plentiful and staff members were excellent, everything was cleared and cleaned efficiently. The rooms are more dated than the rest of the hotel and could do with a bit of a refresh. The double beds were less comfortable than the bunk beds and the storage space was quite limited. That said, we all slept well (3 adults and 2 children under 10) and had no complaints. Housekeeping was daily which was appreciated. The main downside was the shuttle bus. They were pretty frequent and the morning was ok as the bus only stopped at one other hotel for pickup. In the evening it was a different story, they were absolutely packed no matter what the time and the behaviour of some guests was poor to say the least! On the first night we waited for 2 buses and had no prayer of getting on either without one of the kids getting injured, so we abandoned it and got an Uber. Fortunately we'd read other reviews and budgeted for this. We would stay here again as the hotel itself met all our needs. Just don't rely on the buses as the only form of transport to the parks."

"Having been freshly melted from the hotel down the road without aircon we elected to cancel our stay there and ‘Explorer’ other options. We landed on the Grand Magic Hotel and the rest of our trip was wonderful. Nice staff, nice cool bedroom, and a lovely bar area downstairs. Absolutely recommend."

"I did not enjoy this hotel Firstly and most importantly let’s address the issue of charging me €150 euros to my card as a deposit. I had no issue with this, even though other guests were livid at reception, some hotels do this, in case of damages. I did not make any damages nor did they say I did, what they did was simply “charge” my card. This is strange as it was a “hold” not a charge so they wilfully charged it after I checked out, this I feel is deception. After raising it they said send your “bank details” and we will refund it. Why would I want to send my private bank details? This is unacceptable. Anyway I’ve sent my bank details and a month now still waiting “it’s been sent to finance dept”. This is a disgrace. I am not a creditor, you have scammed money, admitted the mistake and still unpaid. It is not a free loan. The fact it was on my credit card you should be able to refund to card? So why delay? (Also when I checked in there was a family in tears because of the deposit situation they were on a tight budget and the manager did not care, they had disabled children also) Terrible. Also, the food, very unpleasant. Some of the staff credit where due are really nice. The restaurant won’t allow you to take any form of bags into restaurant basically in case you take food out. You get a token for a drink in the restaurant, you have to queue up at a weird hatch and get offered a small selection of drinks for the token. That’s it. Waiters cannot bring you drinks meaning they are literally there to take away plates The lifts were not working during the stay, no apology nothing, not even a notice on the lift until the next day confusing people more. The hotel shop was not open that much and when it opened it didn’t sell anything meaningful, no chargers or general amenities, just cheap toys overpriced and a very small selection of sweets. Very odd The bouncy castles at the back of hotel for kids were good, very strange they are situated next to a GRAVEL path! My child and others fell and badly cut themselves due to tired legs. This definitely needs addressing Had the chance I would definitely book another hotel, it was a last minute booking through a travel agent who recommended it and I will be making a complaint via them also The magic bus to take you back to airport does not come early enough to warrant a return ticket if you’re on one of the early flights so that’s something to consider also The swimming pool! Absolutely disgusting! Smelt of URINE! And I mean heavy urine. Only a few changing rooms, slippy floors from grease not being mopped this was not pleasant I wasn’t aware there was any evening entertainment so can’t comment on that"
