Grand Magic Hotel

"Hidden costs on arrival. Deposit had to be paid with no advance notification they had brought this in. Old tired and way too pricy for the quality of the food. Breakfast was ok but the bar meals were awful for what you paid for them. The advertising people for this hotel have done an amazing job making it look like a wow factor hotel - but when you arrive it’s nothing like that. We found the rooms noisy, small and very tired. The hotel introduced a damage deposit in 27th October 2025. No advertising in that and no contact with guests to say they had done this. When you check out they won’t refund your deposit until they check the room at 5pm the receptionist told us. So they leave you wondering if you’re getting your deposit back and they do not keep in touch with you. The only plus side is the free shuttle to the parks. But be warned - get your elbow pads on for the return from the park it’s manic!! We won’t stay in this hotel again nor would we recommend it."

"Have stayed at this hotel twice before but several years ago. It has been updated but gone down hill a lot. The reception and main lounge are busy and well used and worn. I scratched my leg and drew blook on a bar stool. There was lots of rubbish lying around the lounge and furnitire broken and stained. This is of course a family hotel but kids and adults had no respect foe their surroundings, climbing and jumping all over the furnishings, leaving rubbish and food around the floor and tables. Lots of kids and adults in their pyjamas, this isnt a private lodge, it is a public area and this shouldnt be allowed. Its ok of course for toddlers/small kids when youre teying to get them off to sleep but grown adults shoulnt be in their nightware surely! The rooms are very hot we had to leave windows open all night, there is no A/C. The carpets had horrible stains all over. The sink would not drain. Breakfast is just about ok, the room is tatty and seen better days. Felt too busy. The shuttle bus is practically unuseable, totally packed in both directions, too many people pushing to get on/off. Needs more buses and/or staff to organise queues. As previously mentioned this was our 3rd visit to this hotel and standards have slipped greatly therefore we would not return again."

"You can tell when you walk into reception that this is a quirky hotel, also reception smells amazing! They made a good effort with their Halloween decorations too. Check in went smoothly and then the kids saw the most magical lobby/ bar area! Rooms were fine, kids loved the bunk beds and the star and moon details on the wall. Beds were comfy. Breakfast had a good selection, we took our own cereal for our son who has a severe peanut allergy. The breakfast rush happens between 8-9 and is chaos so we went down for 9:30 and found it to be much better. The shuttle bus isn’t too bad if you don’t mind going to the parks for 9:30/10am instead of first thing in the morning. They have a conference room open with bouncy castles in for the kids in the evenings which was handy. Also shout out to the Robot waiter which my 4 year old son declared as his favourite part of his Disney trip. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay outside of the Disneyland park."
