Aston La Scala

"This is an old and shabby hotel which had seen better days during the 70's-80's. The room I stayed in was not renovated in comparison to other rooms on the 5th floor ( I travelled with a group so I was able to see and compare the others) ; my room reeked of mold/mildew. The shower floor drained to a corroding open slab which was source of the musty smell. There were insects ( silverfish/spiders that scurried out of the bedding when I pulled open the top cover). I paid for a room with breakfast, but due to an early morning flight I requested a breakfast box to go the day before. This same request was fulfilled for a fellow traveler ( in the same tour group I traveled with) who departed a day earlier, but on my day they acted as if they never got my request, despite my asking B (male with long hair) and another clerk during the day. Night clerk J was cold and standoffish during check out. This is not a four star hotel, more of a two star. The Hyatt Grand Hotel, like the San Francisco Airport is a proper 4 star, this hotel pales in comparison and inaccurately rated. Refer to the mold photos from other traveler reviews, exposing yourself to mold and mildew is harmful to your health, I had sinus problems during my stay."

"Not sure why the negative reviews. The hotel is ideally located. The rooms were cleaned every day, nothing wrong with the breakfast which was included in our stay and the staff were very helpful when I asked anything. Would definitely come and stay here again, ive stayed in a lot worse for a lot more money."
