Premier location for a city stay
As the name would suggest, this hotel is perched on the edge of leafy Albert 1er Gardens at the entrance to the Old Town. The seafront is just a one-minute walk away, too, so you could hardly ask for a better location.
Some of Nice’s most iconic spots will be at your fingertips here. The cathedral is an eight-minute walk away through the streets of the Old Town but take your time and have a mosey as there’re plenty of charming shops and local cafés to visit. Walk along the promenade, meanwhile, and in 20 minutes you’ll find yourself at Castle Hill, which offers some of the city’s best views.
Back in the streets of the Old Town, it’s wall-to-wall bars and restaurants. From cosy local bistros to Michelin-star fine dining, there’s just about everything on offer here. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast, so you can fill up on the continental selection of pastries, meats, and cheeses before you head off for a day of sightseeing.
As for what to do after dark, Nice is well-known for its glitzy nightlife, and Place Massena is as good a place as any to kick off your festivities. The square is fringed with bars and cafés, and is often home to street performers come sundown, so grab a table al fresco and settle in for the show.
