Villa Rivoli

"Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with our stay. There were three of us sharing a room and it was far too small to comfortably accommodate three people, particularly once you added luggage into the equation. The room itself was clean, but that was one of the few positives. There is no lift, and despite being on the second floor, we were offered absolutely no help with our luggage. We also found most of the staff quite rude and unwelcoming, with the exception of the breakfast staff, who were lovely. This hotel is probably fine if you’re staying for business, travelling alone with very little luggage and don’t need much interaction with the staff. For a holiday, particularly as a family or group, I really wouldn’t recommend it. Hospitality felt seriously lacking and we definitely wouldn’t return."

"Review of Hotel Rivoli Nice We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Rivoli in Nice. The hotel has a lovely old romantic style that really fits the atmosphere of the city. It feels charming and classic rather than modern and sterile, which we really appreciated. Even though our room faced the street, the noise from outside was surprisingly minimal, and it didn’t disturb our stay at all. The only real downside was the soundproofing between rooms. It was quite easy to hear the neighbors — sometimes you could almost follow their conversations, and even when they were using the bathroom. That was definitely the biggest drawback. Another small thing that would improve the room would be a small refrigerator. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
