New Hotel of Marseille Vieux Port

"Stayed in this hotel for a week just before Christmas with family and it was a great stay! Really good location - super easy to wander down to the beaches or head the other way into the port and town. The hotel itself is nice and chilled out, very pretty. Our rooms were really clean and well stocked. We had breakfast there almost every day and it was lovely; huge range of nice food; good start to the day to sit eating and watching the pool. The staff were so welcoming and sweet - gave us lots of recommendations about places to go and checked that we were having a good time. They make a really excellent cocktail too! Would definitely stay here again; great base to explore Marseille from."

"I was surprised to find that we were asked to pay a 500 Euro deposit, we negotiated this down to 300, but it was quite a shock. I have found an email that tells you this, but this came through after we had made a booking. I won't stay here again"

"Very disappointed the pool was closed due to maintenance which they did not say on booking and also there was no maintenance it was so they could facilitate corporate lunches next to the pool. We could not use the pool which was the reason why I booked this hotel to use the pool. There was also road works outside which began at 7am!! Finally, we were asked for €500 at first and then €300 for incidentals on check in. They took this money out of our card straight away and we didn’t get it back until 2 days after we arrived home. This is unacceptable a credit card no or passport should be sufficient. The staff were not very friendly and on leaving there was no such thing as did you enjoy your stay ?? One positive is the location of the hotel."
