"Location - in the heart of the city. You hear the Lyon heart beat. Athmosphere: typical french athmosphere with a nice bar at the ground floor. The kindness of the lady from the bar should be improved... she provides snack to the cocktails by her own triage... was funny that I was seeing her in the mirror from the back of the bar how she was adding the ice cubes directly with her hand, pressing the cubes into the glass or how she was eating peanuts while she was refilling for the guests... 🤦‍♀️ If she wd have been at least kind, may be I wd have not tell these details. Rooms - extremly clean!! Cozy, nice, comfortable, you dont hear anything from ouside from the street or from the other rooms. Breakfast - clean and very diverse. 29 euro. Bravo for the ladies on the breakfast. Very kind and attentive! The bellboy - very helpful. A big thank you! A weak point: while I arrived on saturday, 17 oct, during the big rage of manisfetations, the hotel was not prepared at all in the case the invaders would have entered into the hotel. There was no security staff to defend the reception! I know it was a special situation but nevertheless, the hotel is responsible for the safety of its clients! Also, I was not able to order anything to eat on Sat because the restaurant that served the hotel was closed... so I starved until morning. They simply excused in the reception but no sign of good will to find solutions... So for the good days, this hotel is the best choice!"

"Very disappointing experience with the team at Carlton. I checked out on a Friday and unfortunately left several items of clothing in the wardrobe of my room. I contacted the hotel only a few hours later to report this and clearly explained where the clothes had been left. When I called, I was told they could not help me because they were unable to reach the person in charge of the floor crew. I was then left waiting until the next Monday before being informed that nothing had been found. I subsequently contacted Accor customer service. After several weeks of additional wait, no clear explanation was provided as to what happened to my belongings. What is particularly frustrating is the way the situation was handled. I reported the issue almost immediately, yet I was left chasing the hotel and Accor for answers, with the final response essentially being that nobody knew what happened to my belongings after my checkout. I expected a much higher level of professionalism and accountability from a hotel of this standing and from the Accor group."

"When your eldest is abroad, it’s only polite to pop over and visit them at least once. So we did that with a trip to Lyon in February. The four of us (another daughter joined) stayed here in February and had a really great time. The hotel is a bit quirky and different, but definitely in a good way. It’s really centrally located, which makes getting around the city very easy. And the staff were very helpful too – the hotel bar is definitely worth a visit and the cocktail menu is worth. There was no ironing board in the room here; but given this was a family holiday rather than a business trip, it wasn't a big deal!"
