Novotel La Rochelle Centre

"Stayed for 2 nights as a family with a dog. Amazing staff who can not do enough for you. Lovely outside pool, which gets the sun most of the day. It does get busy and at times limited availability of loungers. Hotel provide free pool towels. Ate at restaurant, basic menu, but great burgers, and have themed nights such as paella, bbq, moules et frites. Didn't have breakfast as only 15 minutes walk to port, where you can get coffee and croissants for around 8 euros. Hotel located right next to a beautiful park, great for dog walking. Park not lit at night though, so didn't venture through it when dark. Ample outdoor parking, very secure. Stayed in family room with pull out sofa bed. Not much space when beds down, but easy to put up during day. Air conditioning worked well, and water fountains on every floor. Comfy beds. Separate toilet and shower room which was great. Games room for kids and plenty space to chill inside and out by restaurant. Can't fault this hotel, a great location to visit la rochelle, especially if travelling with a dog."

"We are a family of four from Denmark travelling through France on a four-week road trip, and this was the third Novotel we stayed at during our journey. Once again, we were impressed by the value for money. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre, making it perfect for an evening stroll to the many restaurants in La Rochelle. Our room was comfortable, clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated during the warm weather. The pool area was another highlight. It was well maintained, our children really enjoyed it, and pool towels were available from reception. The only downside was that there were only a few sunbeds. One thing we really appreciated was the excellent service after check-out. We had a long drive ahead of us and asked if we could spend one more hour by the pool before leaving. The staff happily agreed, which made the end of our stay much more relaxing. We didn’t have breakfast, so we can’t comment on that. Parking was free and conveniently located right outside the hotel, making arrival and departure effortless. After staying at three different Novotel hotels during our road trip through France, we can honestly say that the brand has consistently offered excellent value for money. We would happily stay here again and can recommend it to other families."

"Very good location for a city, no road noise and quiet at night. Short 11 minute walk to the port, the staff were all nice and the Hotel good for a chain. Free safe parking for cars or motorbikes. Ample breakfast."
